I recently discovered something amazing , something that will change our perception of Atlantis Myth and story.

Some studies and historians believe that there is a connection between Stonehenge in UK and Atlantis.Well if we look carefully the Stonehenge will certainly notice that the shape of such majestic monument is the perfect copy of Atlantis city as described by Plato.Now as I have told before , Durresi,s Bay in Albania is the perfect candidate for being the marvelous city mentioned by Plato.
I made an experiment with Google Earth.I joint this location "Stonehenge" and "Durresi,s Bay" by a line.I checked in which cities passes this line between this two locations and I have noticed that the famous Laguna city of Venice is crossed by this line(Venice is considered the homeland of Illyrian Language ,"Mesapic").I kept going with the line down the Durresi,s bay .This line goes straight to this famous and very important cities .ATHENS(Greece).You know the story of such glorious and magnificent city. BALTIM(Egypt)almost 140km east of ALEXANDRIA.("Baltim" in albanian language means "to mud someone"). This line crosses even the island of Santorini(Grecce) .A valid candidate for being Atlantis to.

MECCA and Jedahh in SAUDI ARABIA(Two major holy cities for the Muslim world),but some people don't know that Jedahh is consider from Muslims as the place when EVA (grandmother of humanity)is buried.The Tomb of Eva is there.Mecca by Muslims is considered by other things the place when ADAM is buried.This line passes through the famous city of Sana (YEMEN, thousand year city constructed by mud and protected by UNESCO ).Its amazing but this line is almost the same with the path of modern human made from Africa to reach Europe.

So I want to call this line the ATLANTIS LINE.

Just an update of what we are talking about.

The Lost City of Atlantis
Plato's description of the Atlantean metropolis:

Below is a translation of Plato's description of the lost city of Atlantis, taken from his works 'Timaeus' and 'Critias'. The first extract from his work below details the layout of the land in and around this huge city, and gives an impression of the vast wealth and heritage amongst the people themselves.

'At the center of the island, near the sea, was a plain, said to be the most beautiful and fertile of all plains, and near the middle of this plain about fifty stades inland a hill of no great size... There were two rings of land and three of sea, like cartwheels, with the island at their center and equidistant from each other... in the center was a shrine sacred to Poseidon and Cleito, surrounded by a golden wall through which entry was forbidden...

There was a temple to Poseidon himself, a stade in length, three hundred feet wide, and proportionate in height, though somewhat outlandish in appearance. The outside of it was covered all over in silver, except for the figures on the pediment which were covered with gold... Round the temple were statues of all the original ten kings and their wives, and many others dedicated by kings and private persons belonging to the city and its dominions...'

As well as the huge architectural knowledge the Atlantes seemed to possess, they also seem to be incredibly advanced in terms of social structure and order, as well as having access to some superb natural resources.

'Two springs, hot and cold, provided an unlimited supply of water for appropriate purposes, remarkable for its agreeable quality and excellence; and this they made available by surrounding it with suitable buildings and plantations, leading some of it into basins in the open air and some of it into covered hot baths for winter use.

Here separate accommodation was provided for royalty and commoners, and, again, for women, for horses, and for other beasts of burden... The outflow they led into the grove of Poseidon, which (because of the goodness of the soil) was full of trees of marvelous beauty and height, and also channeled it to the outer ring-islands by aqueducts at the bridges.

On each of these ring islands they had built many temples for different gods, and many gardens and areas for exercise, some for men and some for horses... Finally, there were dockyards full of triremes and their equipment, all in good shape...'

'Beyond the three outer harbors there was a wall, beginning at the sea and running right round in a circle, at a uniform distance of fifty stades from the largest ring and harbour and returning in on itself at the mouth of the canal to the sea. This wall was densely built up all round with houses and the canal and the large harbour were crowded with vast numbers of merchant ships from all quarters, from which rose a constant din of shouting and noise day and night.'

Well I believe that all this things really existed and the location is Durresi Bay in Albania. Will be in touch later.

Many scholars and historians believe that the Story of Atlantis had no precedent and that Plato was the first to mention the Story of Atlantis or even the Atlantis name as Location or even as History (Mythology) Figure. Well that is Dead WRONG.
That’s why.
ANCIENT WRITINGS
Pre-Platonic Writings Pertinent to Atlantis

Scholars the world over have repeatedly declared that ancient sources describing Atlantis are plentiful, "but before Plato - nothing". They make such a declaration because of several reasons: (1) they disregard every record in which Atlantis is not mentioned by name; (2) they tend to disregard records which utilize a variant spelling of Atlantis; (3) they seem to be unfamiliar with the Sanskrit writings of India--apparently forgetting that those Sanskrit speakers originated in Central Europe. Let us use an example from a hundred years before Plato in which Herodotus, the "father of history," mentions Atlantis by name in referring to the body of water into which it sank. Here is the Greek text of a portion of Clio (History, Bk I, 202) in which the waters outside the Pillars of Hercules is said to be known as the Atlantis Sea.

For the sea navigated by all the Greeks and the one outside the Pillars called the Atlantis Sea and the Erythraean, are one and the same." (Translated by R. Cedric Leonard)
One does not need to be a Greek scholar to recognize the word "Atlantis" in the above Greek text (line 5, 3rd word from the left). Many of my colleagues insist that the phrase should be translated "the sea of Atlas" instead of the Atlantis Sea. While it is true that Atlantis is an inflected form of Atlas, these very same colleagues have never suggested that when Plato speaks of the "island of Atlantis" it would be more properly translated as the "island of Atlas". The island and the ocean were called "Atlantis" because they were named after Atlas (which is what the name "Atlantis" means).
The point here, which cannot be gainsaid, is that Atlantis was known before Plato--so well-known that the sea outside Gibraltar was commonly called the Atlantis Sea in Herodotus' time. It had acquired that name because Atlantis had once occupied that area. We carry the same tradition down when we refer to that same body of water as the Atlantic. While in Europe, I noticed that their maps label the same ocean "Atlantischer," preserving the word "Atlantis" intact.
In the above quote, Herodotus also mentions another name of the Atlantic, the Erythraean. The word in Greek indicates the color red--descriptive of the effect of sunset on the water, as would be seen from a European vantage point. (Note: It is this word, not Geryon, that means "red glow of the sunset," Ignatius Donnelly notwithstanding; 1882 edition, p. 307). But even a minimal amount of research demonstrates that the Atlantic Ocean had yet another more common name in ancient times.
Ancient Egyptian, Sanskrit and European sources (e.g., Pliny the Elder) often refer to the Atlantic Ocean as the "Western Ocean"--important if one is looking for ancient records of Atlantis. It is a given that any records dating back before Plato are going to be hard to find; but even though the pickings are slim, records which have been overlooked by most modern scholars do exit.
As we encounter these writings, it should be noted that Atlantis itself is sometimes represented by various spellings (sometimes even unnamed); but it should also be noted that when the context is properly considered, there is no doubt about the identity of the island being referenced. And, as will be demonstrated, there is no doubt that the "Western Ocean" mentioned is indeed the Atlantic.
According to Critias, Solon was given the story by the Egyptian priests at Sais which they had obtained from engraved columns in the temples of Egypt. Manetho, whose writings form the basis of our knowledge of ancient Egyptian history, obtained his famous King-Lists from similar sources. So what about this source?
THE EGYPTIAN WRITINGS
Over a half-century ago Cambridge scholar and explorer, Harold T. Wilkins (1946), noted the depiction of a great festival on column 8 of the Great Hall of the temple of Rameses at Karnak, along with an accompanying text memorializing the loss of a drowned continent in the Western Ocean. The column mentioned cannot be easily dismissed, and is a relevant example of the type of source to which Solon (in Plato's Timaeus) refers.
Plato described Atlantis as being ruled by ten kings before its demise. Egyptian king-lists going back thousands of years before Plato (we will look at one example here) establish four important facts which we should notice. They are:
1) Egyptian tradition begins with the "reign of the gods"
2) In all there were ten of these so-called "god-kings"
3) They were said to have reigned in a foreign country
4) From all appearances they were called "Atlanteans"
This last statement will be challanged by scholars, so let's take a closer look at the Egyptian king-lists. One noticable fact is that Manetho (250 B.C.) calls the first series of kings who ruled during the "reign of the gods," Auriteans. This seems to be nothing more than a corruption of the word "Atlantean". Let me explain.
Egyptian hieroglyphics only approximate real sounds: for instance, a hieroglyphic "k" must be used to represent the hard "g" sound. The hieroglyph that Manetho transcribed as r can equally be transcribed as an l. Thus the "Auriteans" of Manetho's king-lists could just as well be "Auliteans": phonetically almost identical to "Atlanteans". This idea obtains credible support from the fact that the ancient Phoenician historian Sanchuniathon (1193 B.C.) calls these very same kings Aleteans (Cory, 1826).
Although there are numerous ancient Egyptian king-lists in existence, only a few include the famous "reign of the gods". These include the Palermo Stone (2565-2420 B.C.), the Turin Papyrus (1300 B.C.), and Manetho's Egyptian Chronicles (250 B.C.). Of these, the Turin Papyrus is by far the most complete source.
The Turin Papyrus (Gardiner, 1987; Smith, 1872) lists ten kings who ruled during the "reign of the gods," complimenting the fragments of Manetho which have come down to us. Most importantly, it allows us to equate the Egyptian names with the Greek names given by Manetho. Below is a list of god-kings from the Turin Papyrus, with Manetho's fragmented list alongside:

So we have ten Auritean (or, Aletean) kings reigning in a "foreign land" during the precise time Plato says ten Atlantean kings reigned in Atlantis. The Turin Papyrus also records the installation of the next series of kings in 9850 B.C.! This date is so close to the date given for the end of Atlantis that coincidence is virtually out of the question. In such a case, the equation "Aletean=Atlantean" doesn't seem out of the question. THE SANSKRIT WRITINGS
The Sanskrit writings of ancient India contain several descriptions of Atlantis, and even assert that Atlantis was destroyed as the result of a war between the gods and Asuras (recalling the war between the gods and the Titans). Present day scholars are so steeped in Greek and Roman (western) literature that Indian sources are too often ignored.

A passage in Sanskrit from the Mahabharata
The Vishnu Purana (circa. 2000 B.C.), one of the oldest of the Hindu Puranas, speaks of Atala, the "White Island," one of the seven dwipas (islands) belonging to Patala (Book II, chaps. i, ii, and iii). This old text locates Atala geographically on the seventh (heat, or climate) zone, which according to Francis Wilford (the translator) is 24 to 28 degrees north latitude, putting it in the same latitude as the Canary Islands just off the North African coast. Col. Wilford rightly calls Atala, "Atlantis, the White Island". (Wilford, 1808)
At least one "authority" has attempted to identify Atala with Italy, but Italy is not an island. Also, Italy is 38 to 45 degrees north latitude. Finally, I fail to see any possibility that the "Western Ocean," mentioned as its location, could be the Mediterranean when the Karna Parva of the Mahabharata clearly describes Africa as comprising that ocean's eastern shoreline--a correct geographical description of the west coast of Africa.
Another non-Sanskrit scholar implies that Atala might be one of the well-known northern lands, such as Iceland or Greenland, and that the epithet "White Island" refers to its being covered with snow the majority of the time--even the mythological Hyperborea has been suggested. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case.
Atala and Sveta Dwipa ("White Island") are not the only names for Atlantis in Sankrit lore. Another name, Saka Dwipa, is used just as often in the Puranas; and according to the Sanskrit Dictionary, Saka Dwipa means "island of fair skinned people." It seems quite probable that "white" refers to the islands inhabitants, rather than to the dominant color of the island--although it should not be imagined that all Atlanteans were white.
The terms "Atala" and "White Island" are used also by the Bhavishya Purana (4th cent. B.C.). Here it is stated that Samba, having built a temple dedicated to Surya (the Sun), made a journey to Saka Dwipa, located "beyond the salt water" looking for the Magas (magicians), worshippers of the Sun. He is directed in his journey by Surya himself (i.e., journeys west following the Sun), riding upon Garuda (the flying vehicle of Krishna and Vishnu) he lands at last among the Magas.
The Mahabharata (circa. 600 B.C.) also refers to "Atala, the White Island", which is described as an "island of great splendour." It continues: "The men that inhabit that island have complexions as white as the rays of the Moon and they are devoted to Narayana . . . Indeed, the denizens of White Island believe and worship only one God." (Santi Parva, Section CCCXXXVII)
I do have my critics on this issue. Despite the minute and detailed descriptions of the location, culture and technology of Atala provided in the Sanskrit literature, there are those who disagree. For instance, it has been alledged that Plato called Atlantis "a continent," whereas Atala was only an island; therefore, it is reasoned, they could not be one and the same.
In actual fact Plato never calls Atlantis a continent (only a "large island,"). That Atala is also a very large island can be deduced from the Mahabharata, which describes Atala as having a capital (Tripura), other major cities with houses, palaces, and streets, and as being populated by numerous tribes, some of whom chose to wage war against other nations (details in the Mahabhrata.) This is not a description of a small island.
It has also been alleged that the Sanskrit word tala means "place"; its negative (a-tala) would then mean "no-place". But, according to the Sanskrit Dictionary tala means a "surface," "plane" or "land". Atala is the "name of a hell," "bottomless," "at the bottom" (McDonnell, 1974).* It is not unusual for a destroyed or sunken land like Atala to re-emerge in later religion as a "land of the departed" (whether hell or paradise). Among the Egyptians, Amentet ("Land of the West") eventually became the "realm of the dead".
This well-known Sanskrit epic contains more than one account of a powerful islandic empire in the Atlantic which sank to the bottom of the "Western Ocean" ending a horrendous war. Although originally described in the Mahabharata as an island in the far West, in modern times Atala has become a "hell", and its original inhabitants, the Daityas, Danavas and Asuras, have become demons.
The Santi Parva also describes Atala as being inhabited by white men who never have to sleep or eat. (Ibid.) Interestingly enough, the Greek historian Herodotus (450 B.C.) describes a tribe of Atlanteans who "never dream and eat no living thing". (History, Book IV) Can this be coincidence? And just as the god Poseidon is very much involved in the Atlantis story, likewise in the Sanskrit accounts we find Varuna (the Hindu Poseidon) very much involved in Atala.
Another description is remarkably similar to Plato's, even down to its circular capital city, Tripura! Tripura is made in three concentric parts, just as Plato's Metropolis is divided into three parts by concentric canals. During the war of the gods and Asuras, the wicked cities of the Asuras began to fall, one by one, amidst loud cries of woe. "Burning those Asuras, he [the hero] threw them down into the Western ocean" (Karna Parva, Section XXXIV).
Concerning the "concentric arrangment" of Tripura, a recent archeological discovery of a fortified palace in Bactria, India, known as Dashly-3, turned out to be a concentric 3-ringed structure of the "tripura type". [Their words, not mine.] The archaeologists, excavating under the auspices of the Archaeological Departments of Pakistan and India (Mahadevan, 15), also state that the Dasyas, the builders of Dashly-3, were "Asura-worshippers".
In the Surya Siddhanta, an ancient Sanskrit text on astronomy, the translator (W. D. Whitney, 1860) mentions an "island" (dwipa) called Jambu Dwipa, surrounded by rings of alternating land and water. I am tempted to equate Jambu Dwipa with the Atlantean capital, which Plato describes as surrounded by circular canals, "making alternate zones of sea and land" (Critias).
The geographical specifics given in the above writings render the location of the powerful island civilization known as Atala beyond question: Atala was a large island, containing numerous cities, located off the western shore of Africa in the Atlantic Ocean. Following a tremendous war, the island with all its cities and inhabitants, was sent burning to the bottom of that ocean, after which peace prevailed. To attempt to separate these accounts from Plato's Atlantis is an exercise in triviality.
I believe the above accounts constitute ample evidence that my years of research have not been wasted. Perhaps literary scholars' assertion that no pre-Platonic accounts of Atlantis exist should be seriously reconsidered.

*These extremely old traditions were formed more than 10,000 years ago when the Aryans of India were living in Central Europe--before they became literate. The initial a of Atala may not represent the negative. It is possible that the name Atala came about by adding the prepositional prefix ati, meaning "over," "beyond," to the word tala (land). The result would initially be Ati-tala which could later be contracted to At'tala, a "land beyond" [the horizon]. Such a derivation corresponds to the Sunset Land of several nations who had traditions of a sunken homeland. The double t (resulting from contraction, and not pronounced) would easily have been dropped by the time writing was adopted. [Back]

CAPE OF RODON (Redon).
The surprises that Landscape of Durresi Area offers to us never stops. This time will talk about the amazing collisions of mythology and history of this area that sometimes can pass through our attentions without even notice it.
Up north Durresi’s bay there is a location that can tell so much to us about the perfect match of Plato’s tale with the history and mythology of the area that we all are interested
This location is up north Durresi Bay , beyond the Cape of Pali and it is called the Cape of RODON. The bay that is in this Area is called the Bay of Rodon too.
Now who knows the Illyrian mythology knows pretty well that Poseidon was called Rodon(or Redon) and this name is pretty much the same with the modern Albanian Rethon=Circle(around)etc. In Italian take the form of Rotondo. Pretty much in all Latin languages takes the similar form. Redon is a pretty common Albanian name too.
Like Redon Makashi for example ( a very famous Albanian singer in Albania).
On the other hand the ancient name of Durresi beside Epidamnos is DyRachiom=Dirrethon (ancient Albanian or illyrian) .It is evident the connection of this names with the figure of the god Poseidon and mostly with the presence of circular definition .Now in Plato’s tale Poseidon is the main figure in creation of Atlantis Island.In fact he must be consider as the Father Atlantis. It all started from him. Now the presence of his name not for away from the Bay of Durresi is nether the less intriguing. Now this thing becomes more interesting if we consider the fact that in this area were discovered at list three protohellenic temples . All Porto Romano and Spitalla Area.
LIFE TIME EVENT.
Now lets take a good look to the Bay of Durresi again. You will see on the map that there is an anomaly regarding the depth of the Bay. We know that the diameter of the bay is 15km but the depth of it barely reaches 5m half way of this diameter, point C-0 (direction east-west).Now from this point B (which is the center of the Durresi,s Bay) till the other half ,point A the depth reaches 21m(sometimes even 34m).That is a huge diference.It tells us that there is great chance of possible major sea floor shift caused by a tremendous seismic activity. As we all know Bay of Durresi is considered Lagoon too .But lagoons are penetrations of sea into the dry land which are connected to the sea by one or more canals. At this time Durresi,s Bay does not offer this appearance at all to us. By that we understand that rest of Lagoon was destroyed from this cataclysmic event. Imagine a city (Atlantis) build inside a lagoon (like Venezia) being swallowed by the sea in one in a life time event. A tremendous seismic activity that brakes in half the city and floods the rest of it . Entire city and lagoon swept away by the force of a tsunami that I can’t even imagine the force of its destruction. If you refer to the map you will see that entire coast of Durresi area was affected by this cataclysmic event. The dark area of the sea floor shows that. This area used to be Dryland =Tauland(thauland).
By the way. The world organizations issued a Red Alert for the area of Gulf of Otranto as major risk tsunami and earthquake source.(after the earthquake at the southeast coast of RODOS island in Greece 15/07/2008 of magnitude 6.3righter).GOD help us ALL.

Atlantis in albanian language.

Ok let’s go back to the possible origin of the name ATLANTIS. In my opinion this name is totally a name with Illyrian or pelasgian roots .
The part AT in Albanian language ( by that Illyrian as we all now that Albanian is direct descendent of Illyrian language) means Father. In etruscean language means Mother. No w we all now that between Illyrian and etruscians existed a strong ethnic tie. In fact there are some considerations that etruscians were e branch of Illyrian –pelasgian legacy. In my opinion the etruscian alphabet was the Illyrian too.
Who said that there are no illyrians or pelasgian scripts?
So the part AT means father in Albanian (modern language too).
The part Land comes from the Illyrian word Landtokdte which means soil, ground etc.
In modern Albanian Land (lend) means Matter, Substance, material or even Timber in geg dialect.
But hear, hear there is a word (name) in Albanian language that is very intriguing.
LENDIN-A (official Albanian language) or LANDIN-A in geg.dialect = meadow.
Lendisht=timber forest (the area around Durresi’s bay (lagoon) is surrounded by this kind of forest) . Now if we join this two words together AT & LENDIN.
We have the ATLANDIN .In English it will sound like FatherMeadow (Mothermeadow)
Or more specific Main Meadow. Does it sound you like familiar concept?
The magnificent garden .The garden of Heavens.

Well Atlantis is described as the Paradise on Earth isn’t it?
Anyway this is just a thesis that might give some answers to our quest.I still believe that the concept of Atland=FatherLand (Main land) is the one that we should pursuit.
As I have explained before for pelasgians the name Atlantis did not have any sort of patriotism or pathetic nationality pattern. Now lets talk a little bit about my theory .Is it Atlantis underneath the waters of Durresi’s Bay? Some people may say that this thing its nuts .That Atlantis didn’t exist at first place and it was a fiction made up by Plato in order of making his political thesis more touchable for the ordinary people.But as you remember there were some mentioning of the Atlantis before Plato ‘s tale. This was Heredotus (father of History).Remember?
Anyway why Durresi(Epidamnos.Dyrrachiom)?
There is no island at all out there And even if it was it never fits the dimensions “described” by Plato of such a majestic island .
Now wait a second are we sure that Plato was talking about a Island or was he Talking about a “land” or “territory” in which an “island” by the name Atlantis used to dwelt.
Just a freaking city-island like Venezia or Manhattan and nothing else.The rest was all the freaking territory occupied by the mighty power of such an empire. I guest this territory was as great as the all Mediterranean Costal,Asia area and the north coast of Afrika.(Libya)
Now we are talking about at least 1000 year before Plato was even borne or even Hellenic culture was sprung. We are talking abut so called “Dark Ages”period.
But were is the Island?.
Well my dear friend its just what I sad and keep saying for a long, long time. Underneath the waters of Durresi’s Bay or Ill say it. Lagoon.
Long time a go this Lagoon was adapted by the native people “pelages” in a naval –portal –city at a shape of circular one.It took several generation as Plato mentions in his story.They dug out the famous canals and build up the houses and buildings inside it.
But what happened ?
Probably a powerful earthquake leveled the all city and an intense tsunami flooded the all area .Maybe it was an earthquake generated in the middle of the Adriatic(Atlantis) sea(pelagos) and creating a sink-effect of a devastating tsunami destroyed the all area mentioned before.The waters never receded probably because of a possible shift of the sea floor close to the Durresi’s Bay(Lagoon).I have to mention the fact that this area is close to impacting point (line) of two important earth plates (European and African one) and seismic activities are so frequent even today.This kind of catastrophic events were so frequent for this area that in centuries the people in the location were forced to leave the area for great period of times. In 13th century a.d. after a devastating earthquake and tsunami forced the population of Durresi (more then 70%) to leave the area and move to the city of Berati(SouthEast of Durresi).
WATCH OUT FOR THE BULDINGS ,BUILD UP CLOSE TO THE DURRESI’S SEASHORE .IT’S A DEATH SENTENCE.
NOE WILL NEVER SAVE YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!.
Anyway lets go back to the Atlantis theory.
Plato said that the radius of the city used to be 100 stad=7.5 km so it is the radius of Duirresi’s lagoon. Plato said that the area was surrounded by small mountains(hills) North and south ,so does the Durresi’s lagoon. In fact up north the Durresi’s bay there is a small mountain called Durresi’s Mountain.I have to mention that fact that not far from this area (up north and north west) in Spitalla and Porto Romano area there has been some interesting discoveries from the archaeologies of some protohellenic archaic temples. Now my dear “government” and some “assholes” have decided to turn out this area in a “industrial park”.
THERE YOU GO. We are destroying with our hands the evidence of protohellenic culture and probably the evidence of Atlantis existence.

Some studies shows the fact that the story of Atlantis is not a story that has an accurate beginning and accurate end. If we look it carefully through the lines of Plato’s tale we can realize the fact that his work is based upon the reference of the third person’s
Confessions.
Smart isn’t it.
If anything is not accurate he can blame it on the guy that is telling story.
We do that all the time.
Blame Solon, blame anyone you want. After all history is not an exact science.
But anyway the characters that Plato is using in his version of Atlantis story are really very important history figures. Let’s take for example Solon.
A very distinguished personality of 6th century b.c. Even Cricia is a very important figure in Hellenic history .He used to be the member of the “the thirties” in Athens a technocracy of the first half of 4th century when Cricia was the main ruler and as it turns out from the historians the person who convicted Socrates .He was Plato’s uncle too.
Now if you were Plato would you put in the mouth of such important persons the story of Atlantis by knowing that is all a “fiction”?
Unless you are a nutcase I don’t think sow.
Plato remembers very well the fate of his mentor and teacher Socrates. Well his uncle ordered to poisoning him (because of his “heresy”).
So as it turns out that Plato didn’t care at all about the accuracy of his story and this my dear friends means conviction .Plato believed deeply in his heart that Atlantis story was a real one and he uses this important or V.I.P. personalities in function of the accuracy of his story.Now there is a sort of utopia spirit in Platos’s story .He describes the Athenians and specially Atlantenians as people of such merits that you can barely distinguish them from gods.
Plato was really a romantic sick son of gun.
Under the influence of such romantic spirit you can make e village look like metropolis ,you can make city look like an empire and you can make year look like a century.
In modern time but maybe even in old ones you can sell a lot copies of your book.
Its not cheating, its not lying its just enriching your master piece with such elements that makes it eternally a “best seller”.

Let's talk a little bit about the story of Atlantis .This what we are supposed to do.Wright?!.
Plato is referring to an Island that used dwelt outside the famous Pillars of Heracles.
Talks about an empire that ruled with iron-fist a waste area in Mediterranean and North Africa .Now some scientist are taking in great consideration the fact that Plato by Island meant the fact that Capital City of such empire was constructed in an area close to the sea that was altered in an artificial island. According to Plato it took several generation till this “island” was transformed in a magnificent city which the main function was to harbor the trade ships in such a manner that was never done before. Plato expressed the opinion that how such a thing can be human made and not natural. In fact Plato at the beginning is referred to Mythology .He talks about the story of Poseidon falling in love and then intercourseing with a mortal woman Cleito (Possible archaic form of the word klithje.alb=scream. eng) the daughter of native couple Evenor (posb. archaic form of Vendor.alb=native.eng) and Leuccipe (posbl.archaic form of Leshprere. alb=HairCutted.eng which in Laberia Highlands is refered to a woman joining the manhood. Not in the harsh meaning of Manish woman but in the meaning of brave and strong one.)Anyway Poseidon fall in love with this woman Cleito and created the famous Island by digging circle canals around the land that was supposed to be the “house of love” of him and this astonishing woman. Jealousy (typical Mediterranean feeling) was a crucial force of this initiative of the god in isolating the area from the rest of human .Cleito belong to him and none would even dare to think in approaching her. Same old story of locking the Princes in the famous golden tower. Of course by Forces of God Poseidon we can understand that Plato meant the forces of nature that in a certain period of earth costal formation created this shapes that in generations to come were altered and transformed in the famous island of Atlantis. Same stuff as Venetia or today’s Manhattan.
Now there a is certain opinion in the scientific community that Plato was the first one mentioning the name of Atlantis .Well my dear friends its wrong. I don’t want to use other sources but just one. Heredotus in his first book Cleo 202 confirm that this name Atlantis was used at least 100 years ago before Plato.

"But one of the mouths of the Araxes flows with clarity into the Caspian Sea; but the Caspian Sea is by itself, not connected to the other sea. For the sea navigated by all the Greeks and the one outside the Pillars called the Atlantis Sea and the Erythraean, are one and the same."
Now wait a second He is Talking about the sea named Atlantis and another sea Erythrean(Erythrea).Not many people knows the fact that in early days (Herdodtus Time) the Ionnian was known as the Sea of Rhea or Cronus. Could the Sea Erythrean be the Sea of Rea.Till now people identifies the Erythrean Sea with the Red Sea or Indian Ocean but no one ever thought that Heredotus was talking about the Sea that was closer to Hellenic world. In fact we all know that the oceans are all connected with each other but in Herodotus times the knowledge of the world was to much limited as it is now. At that time no one ever toke a journey around Africa so he could establish the existence of the oceans (Indian or Atlantic).In fact Herdotus talks about Thalasos (seas).
Now lets talk about the name of the Sea Erythrean.In my opinion it is the form of the name of the Rhea Sea(Titaness).Rhea was a goddess (titaness) and there are scientific opinions that this name is archaic form of the albanian word Rjedh=Flow.In fact in modern Albanian Rjedh(flow) takes another meaning of the word =pure(eng)=rjedhshem. Well the Ionian Sea is as pure as god’s tear.
Ion was the son of Dyrrachious (who gave the name to Dyrrachiom .modern Durres) he was killed accidentally by Heracles(Illyrian or Etruscan name is Hercles archaic form of Albanian name hekur-le=born as iron) while he(Heracles) was helping Dyrrachios in the war against his brothers. After the death of Ion he throws the body to the sea and so the Sea was called Ionian Sea. Even Adriatic Sea has a Illyrian origin from the word "adur" =water eng.=uje alb.=aqua ital. In Greek =hydro and in English takes the form of Drawn. This freaking Illyrians were really obsessed with water and sea isn’t it.?
Now ,could it be that the Strait Of Otranto many milleniums ago used to be called the Pillars of Herculis and the Adriatic sea used to be Called Atlantis .Heredotus (father of History) used to say that Erythrean and Atlantis Sea were one and the same.
So myths locations ,history ,Heracles ,Titans and Titaness Rea, Atlas, sea name, Durresi has it all.

Now lets talk about the land of Taulantiies the Land called Taulantia .These area used to cover the whole seashore of Durresi Bay (Laguna) and going deep in the Mainland Southeast and Northeast .The area used to be bordered in the north by the City of Epidamnos and in the south by the river Shkumbin(Genessus in Old Times).So the all surrounding area was populated by the people called Taulantiies. This area has its own history that goes deep in time since the Pelapones War that was triggered here in this city Called Epidamnos and then the Famous Battle Between Cesar and Pompey in the year 47 b.c. Surely it shows the importance of this area during the most crucial periods of European History. Now the most important thing for me is to prove the fact that this area was important and famous even before the history events that I have mentioned before.
Let’s start with the name of the people and location.
Can you translate the Atlantis (english)Atlandou(old greek),Atlantide(roman ) in any kind of language beside Illyrian-albanian language?
Tauland .
The word Tau is the archaic form of the word Thau(modern Albanian)=dry.The part Land comes from the Illyrian word Landtokde. This in the modern times is reduced in just Land. Even the part Tok has a meaning in Albanian language. It means Land, soil, ground (English).In fact if we use the word Landtokde without “d” we have Landtoke it has a full meaning in Albanian which is Soil, ground, land-material (English).
The word Land is used in albanian language even today and has the meaning “material”. In the north of Albania in Geg Dialect has the meaning of Wood. So the Tauland takes the meaning of Dry-land (English).
Now let’s talk about the word Atland.
In Illyrian language the part At has a full meaning of the word Father .It is used even today in modern albanian like Im At=My father,yt ate=your father or” Ati yne qe je ne qiell”=Our father in heaven(Bible).So the word Atland takes the full meaning in albanian language of Fatherland. I want to mention the fact that in Latin language or roman Atlantis is spelled Atlantide In my opinion it is the direct form of the name Atlandtokde(Illyrian).
Atlantis is modern (English) form of the name Atlandou(old greek).
So the name Atlantid takes the full meaning and makes sense only in albanian language the direct descendent of Illyrian language.But make no mistake it has nothing to do with national or self pride of Taulantiies though their descendent the Albanians spare no chance to proclaim their identity or patriotism in any time and any place.This name in my opinion has a nautical and technical meaning.The Taulantis or even the all other Illyrian groups that used to populate the seaside of Adriatic were really connected with the Sea.In fact their ancaster were called Pelasgi (from the word Pellg(Albanian)=pool,pond,lake).Could the Pelasgi be the famous Sea People and the Illyrian or greeks their descendent? In greek Pelagos means Sea.
So the Taulantiies maybe used the name Atland not as Fatherland but as a nautical reference =Mainland.
Durresi ‘s Bay is even considered as a Lagoon.
Lagoon in Albanian takes another meaning though in Geg Dialect.LAGUN(Lagoon,eng.spell)=DAMPED,WET.In official Albanian modern language it is LAGUR(Lagoor eng.spell).

Lets talk about it.
Taulantiies.

The lost land that have intrigued and inspired so many people through centuries. Where is it ,did it really exist or was just a fiction. We will see about that later. But first of all I want to talk about a place called Durresi in Albania.
It is the most ancient city in the whole country. They said it was founded by Corcyrians and Corinthians 2700 years a go.A colony called Epidamnos.Then called by Romans Dyrrachiom.Well that is the official statement of the most important archeologist and historians of modern times. Durresi was founded by Greeks. OK. Lets talk about this. There is a bad perception about the term founded and colonized so I will try it to explain it. Founded means that a certain place or country was discovered and than populated by certain group of people in order of creating a new ethnic or nation group which later will be known as a new state or country. Colonizing is rather then other definition .A certain group of people taking the initiative of invading other lands in order of creating new dominions over others by oppressing them and then exploiting the resources of other unfortunate nations or ethnic groups.
Well that’s what happened with Epidamnos.(modern Durres).
This area was populated by ethnic groups different from Greeks such as Pelasgians and then Illyrians so many centuries a go before Greeks .The most known of them a certain ethnic group called Taulantii .The area was supposed to be called Taulantia.It is well known that in 350b.c the Taulantiies rebelled against Greeks and thanks to a well known leader Glaucus they kicked out Corcyrians and Corinthians out of Epidamnos.Glaucus proclaimed himself as king of Taulantiies.Let me remind you that Epidamnos was colonized around the 6th and 7th century b.c. So that it will be almost 3.5th centuries of occupations .Now that will be quite impossible that during this period a new nations or ethnic group can be borne or organize himself in such a manner that after 300 years of occupations they can have the chance of kicking out their masters or the invaders.
Unless this group was created many centuries a go .But someone will say “so what” the Taulantiies are the descendents of the old Corkyrians or Corinthians who fought against they mother nations in order to create a knew nations like the Americans did with England. Sure “you can be absolutely right “ I’ll say to you. But there is a catch .There is no Greek legacy at all in this area besides of that left by the invaders or colonizers. Sure that we can find tones of statutes made in Ancient Greece or Greeks scripts all over that area or ruins of Corinthians or Corcyrians style. But you will find so few Greeks elements in one of the most important criteria of the definitions of one nation or ethnic group. And that is my dear friend :the language. Americans(Latinos too) even after 500 years of the “discovery” of America speak the language of their mother nations. Such as English, Spanish or Portuguese.

1.Emri Atlantis mund te perkthehet vetem nga gjuha iliro-shqiptare.
At=Babe , Land=Dhe,toke, pra kemi nje fjale shume te njohur ne gjuhen tone Atdhe.
2.Ngjashmeria mahnitese midis emrit dhe historise se fisit te Atlantidasve me ate te Taulanteve.
2.Permasat e qytetit te Atlantides sipas Platos perputhen plotesisht me ate te Gjirit te Durresit (une mendoj se gjiri i Durresit eshte skeleti i jashtem i mbetur i qytetit te Atlantides).Sipas Platonit distanca midis qendres se qyteti dhe kanalit apo pjeses se jashtme te saj ishte 50stad= 7.5 km.Rrezaj e gjirit te Durresit ka po kete distance.Mund te kete nje tolerance prej disa metrash ,por hej Platoni sigurisht qe nuk e ka matur ate as nga toka as nga sateliti .Ne mundemi.
3.Atlantida u permbyt si pasoje e nje termeti te fuqishem i shoqeruar nga vale te fuqishme cunami.Durresi e ploteson kete skenar me se miri pasi eshte tronditur nga termete te fuqishme per shekuj te tere dhe permbytur me dhjetra here nga valet e furishme te Adriatikut.Vlen te permendim faktin se qyteti i Durresit ndodhet majft prane vijes ndarese te dy pllakave tektonike te Evropes dhe Afrikes gje kjo qe e ben ate shume vulnerable ndaj termeteve te fuqishme te proporcioneve biblike.Ne shek 11te mbas Krishtit kemi te dokumentuar nje termet te ketij lloji te shoqeruar me permbytje te furishme qe e detyroi popullsine e asaj kohe te zhvendodej e tera ne qytetin e Beratit derisa ujrat u terhoqen perseri.
4.Nga fotot satelitore dallohet mjafte mire forma e PERKRYER rethore e gjirit te Durresit.Nje forme e tille veshtire se me mund te kete per autoresi forcat naturore.
5.Po nga fotot satelitore dallohen mjaft qarte urat lidhese ne veri te Gjirit te Durresit qe shume kush i identifikon me muret rethuese te qytetit ne fjale.Por permasat Ciklope te tyre te bejne te dyshosh mjafte ne funksionin e tyre te vertete.Gjersia e ketyre mureve eshte vertete e jashtezakonshme.Ana Komnena thoshte ne shek 11 te mbas krishtit se mbi keto “mure” mund te kaloronin 4 kalores perbri njeri tjetrit pa asnje lloj problemi.Me te vertete edhe muri Kines do te dukej si nje gardh zungthi perpara tyre.Ndaj une them se ato nuk jane mure por udhet dhe rruget lidhese te zonave te ndryshme te qytetit te Atlantides.Faktet jane vizive dhe nuk kerkojne shume shkence por vetem perqendrim dhe vullnet te mire per te pranuar fakte te tilla.Ju mund ti matni vete keto mure me ane te opsionit “meter” ne programin Google Earth.Sigurisht duhet te dini te perdorni kompjuterin .Titulli “akademik shkence” eshte optional.Ne rast se ju e beni kete do te shikoni se permasat e ketyre “mureve” me gjeresi arijne deri ne 30m.

Ne historine e Atlantides nga Platoni ai na tregon edhe per vellezerit e Atlasit .Ne fakt ato ishin pese cifte binjakesh djemsh.Binjaku i Atlasit ishte Gaderius dhe kishte si zoterim ekstremitetin e ishullit te Atlantides.Kjo zone quhej sipas Platonit edhe ne kohen e tij pra ne shek 4tert para krishtit po me kete emer.GADERIUS.Ky vend identifikohet edhe sot me qytetin e Gadis ne Spanje .Ky qytet eshte i themeluar si thuhet nga fenikasit , por njgjashmeria e ketij emri me fjalen GADISHULL eshte vertet impresionuese.Po te shikosh edhe lokalitetin e ketij qyteti ne harte behet edhe intriguese .Qyteti Gadis ndodhet ne majen e gadishullit te Pirenejve ,jo shume larg Gjibraltarit.Shikojeni edhe vete harten.

Ne shekullin e dyte mbas krishtit historianet dhe gjeografet mendonin se Deti i Zi lidhej me ate Kaspik dhe perfundonte duke u lidhur me Detin e Ngrire te Veriut.Ato as qe e mirnin parasysh theniet e Heredotit te Famshem (babait te Gjeografise) tete shekuj me pare se Deti Kaspik ishte nje "liqen" i izoluar nga deterat e tjere.Ne qofte keshtu ne mund te mendojme se me termin apo emertimin e Atlantides si ishull Egjyptianet dhe me pas Grekerit e lashte te identifikonin vete Gadishullin e Evropes.Ne rastin e fandit duke e mare ate si nje ishull gjigand qe shtrihej ne veri perendim te detit Mesdhe.Hesapet dali tamam.Platoni thoshte se ishulli i Atlantides ishte sa shuma e teritoreve te Azise me ate te Libise(Afrikes Veriore).Permasat e gadishullit te Evropes si teresi jane pak a shume te peraferta me ato te pershkruara nga Soloni.Nje vella tjeter i Atlasit ishte edhe Mnesus .Ai identifikohet me nje perendi te lashte Kelte me emrin Dannan.

Me falni nje minut por keto vellezerit e Atlasit pa na lokalizohen neper te gjitha cepat e Evropes se lashte.A thua te kete nje kuptim e gjithe kjo?.

Vellai tjeter qe quhej Autoktone eshte ai qe une kam per zemer me shume se te tjeter.Jo per ndonje gje por ky emer deshifrohet shume lehte me gjuhen me te lashte ne Evrope "shqipen".

Ne historine e tij Platoni ka shum elemente qe na bejne mjaft konfuz ne perceptim e vertete te gjithe ngjarjes qe ai kerkon te na percjell.Dike filluar qe nga percaktimi kohor i historise se Atlantides.9000 vjet .WOW.
Qe perpara 9000 vjeteve nga koha e Platonit Athina as qe ekzistonte kjo as qe vihet ne dyshim .Por perse ky datim?
Pergjigjen mendoj se e kam mare ne studimin e epokes ne te cilen Platoni jetoi dhe krijoi vepren e tij.(shek 4tert p.k.).Saktesisht viti 360 p.k.
Ishte koha dhe epoka e Poliklitit , epoka ku ne kulturen helene u shfaqen per here te pare statujat e mahniteshme me nje besnikeri "te tepruar " ndaj realitetit njerezor.
E perse jo realiteti shume here eshte i merzitshem dhe jo atraktive.Statujat ne fjale qe u shfaqen ne kete kohe kishin me te vertete pamje te mrekullueshme te bukurise trupore te njeriut por ishin vertet shume te "ekzagjeruar".Asnje qenie njerezore nuk mund te kishte forma te atilla megjithese ne pamje te pare ato paraqiteshin si humane.
Ndoshta nga ky prizem duhet pare edhe vepra e Platonit per Atlantiden.Shume reale por mbi te gjitha teper "madheshtore".Teper njerezore ne pamje te pare por e pabesueshme ne permbajtje.Ne fund te fundit ai duke hiperbolizuar dhe "eazagjeruar" historine ndaj Atlantides ai riste perpara opinionit te gjere vlerat e kultures dhe popullit qe perfaqesonte.Mos haroni Athina e kishte mposhtur me lufte armiken e saj te perbetuar Atlantiden.Fuqia e Athines duhej te mboshte jo vetem shekujt por edhe mijevjecaret.
Platoni duhet ta kete dashur shume atdheun e tij.
Per kete ai meriton respektin dhe admirimin tone.

Per te vertetuar tezen se helenet e kane preardhjen nga fenikasit po ju demostroj kete tabele alphabetike qe deshmon se ajo cka them une (sigurisht edhe te tjere eshte mes e e vertete).

Ktu duket qarte se preardhja e gjuhes greke eshte fenikase semite.Sigurisht gjate viteve te civilisimit helen ajo pershkroi nje rruge te gjate huazimesh dhe transformimesh deri sa mori formen e plote te greqishtes se lashte antike qe ne njohim sot.

Ndikimi i kultures fenikase ne krijimin e kultures dhe etnise greke eshte e pa mohueshme.

Ne punen time hulumtuese une shpesh here i jam referuar hartes se gjirit te Durresit tek Google Earth.Por ka disa kohe qe ne ekranin tim shfaqet kejo pamje qe po ju paraqis.Nje re tymi qe e ben te pamundur pamjen vizive te nje pjese te mire te gjirit.Kjo pamje eshte shfaqur pas "update" it te bere nga programi Google Earth.Une nuk jam paranojak kjo mund te jete edhe thjesht nje koecidenc.Por pse pikerisht ne kete moment.Kujt i intereson tymnaja mbi gjirin e Durresit?Une lexuesve te blogut tim iu referoj pikerisht kete harte tek Google Earth.

Pikerisht ne momentin e fotografimit digital te gjirit shfaqet kjo re tymi qe seshte cudi te jete leshuar nga ndonje Jet i linjes Olympic Airways.

A eshte Atlasi Titan dhe Atlasi mbret I Atlantides I njejti personazh.

Per kete duhet ti referohemi mitologjise si greke ashtu edhe ilire.
Sipas mithologjise greke mbas luftes se madhe midis Titaneve dhe Olimpasve. Zeusi
E denoi Atlasin te mbante ne kurriz sferen qiellore ne skajin me te ekstrem te botes perendimore.Zeusi jetonte ne Olimp pra ne Athine ndersa Durresi ndodhet ne perendim te saj apo jo?Per nje moment te mendojme se Atlasi I Platos eshte Atlasi I Mitologjise (pra Titani).Sipas Platos mbreti Atlas ishte mbreti I Atlantides ishulli qe ndodhej pertej shtyllave te Herkulit.Por sipas Mitologjise ilire te lashte midis ketyre ekziston nje legjende e treguar nga Apiani se nipi I Epidamnos ,Dyrrahu ka patur nje lidhje midis tij dhe Heraklit.Ku I fundit kishte mare premtimin e Dyrrahut se do te shperblehej me toke ne rast se ai e ndihmonte Dyrrahun ne luften e tij per pushtet kunder vellezerve te tij.
Ne mitologjine greke ne historine e 12 veprave te Herkulit .Ky I fundit I drejtohet Atlasit per ndihme kur kerkon te hyje ne kopshtin e Heres per te mare mollet e arta te cilat ruheshin nga Hesperides (vajza e Atlasit).Atlasi pranon me kusht qe Herkuli te mbaje sferen qiellore derisa sa Atlasi te merte mollet ne fjale.Ka dy versione se si kjo histori mitollogjike perfundon.E para eshte se Atlasi kerkon ta mashtroje Herkulin qe te heqe barren nga kurrizi I tij pergjithmone .Versioni tjeter eshte qe Herkuli ndertoi Shtyllat e famshme te tij(shtyllat e HERAKLIT) per te mbajtur sferen qiellore.Ne fotografine e mesiperme ju shikoni nje reliev te shekullit 2te mbas krishtit te zbuluar ne Durres ne te cilen kemi te paraqitur Atlasin qe nuk mban mbi shpine sferen qiellore
Por eshte ne rolin e nje shtylle qe mban nje ndertese.Ky reliev eshte shume I radhe ne llojin e tij pasi Atlasi gjithmone eshte paraqitur si nje titan qe mban mbi shpine sferen qiellore.Ne reliev vihet re ne krahe te djathte figura e nje femije .Ky reliev e paraqet Atlasin jo vetem si perendi por si “shtylle e shtepise”.A thua Edpidamnos I lashte te kete patur si patron te qytetit te saj Atlasin.?Ne te dyja mitet e permendura me larte Ai I Dyrrahut dhe ai I Atlasit titan kemi nje ngjashmeri te mahniteshme qe na tregon per nje raport interesi midis dy pinjolleve te perendive dhe titaneve.Dyrrahi ishte sternip I Poseidonit(Redonit ilir).Poseidoni ishte vete bir Titani.Herkuli ishte bir I Zeusit.

Qe te arijme kuptojme historine e Atlantides ne duhet te kuptojme situaten dhe rethanat e krijimit te kesaj historie.Shume skolare dhe historiane e kane konsideruar historine e Platonit si nje “trillim letrar” ne funksion te filozofise qe ai perfaqesonte dhe mbronte.Pak a shume jane ide dhe filozofira qe kane shoqeruar njeriun gjate gjithe histories se tij.Ato jane te bazuara ne respektin ndaj natyres njerezore dhe krijimit te vlerave universale te cilat e vendosin qenien njerezore ne qender te universit duke i lene botes spirituale hapesiren e nevojshme dhe njekohesisht te mjaftueshme per te mos e perplasur ate me realitetin dhe materien qe na rethon.Pra Platoni ishte nje materialist dhe nje humanist i mirefillte(dhe aspak idealist).Ai e vendos perpjekjen njerezore ne planin primar te evolucionit dhe zhvillimit planetar.Kete ai e arrin duke perdorur edhe filizofine apo doktrinen religjioze te pokes qe ai jetonte .Perpara refimit te histories se Atlantides nga Kricia ai i ka dhene precedence Timeus qe eshte nje idhtar dhe partisan i vullnetit dhe fuqise hyjnore.Kricia nga ana tjeter paraqitet nje perfaqesues i denje i civilizimit njerezor dhe adhurues i perpjekjeve te saj per perparim dhe zhvillim.Ai thote” te flasesh per perendine eshte mjat e lehte sepse degjuesit jane injorante ndaj puneve te tyre…….,por te flasesh per (te pershkruash) natyren njerezore eshte e kunderta e se lehtes”.Megjithese Platoni i njeh Perendive fuqine e krijimit dhe zanafilles se Planetit ai me pas i le ne dore njerzimit fuqine e zhvillimit te races se saj.Nga kjo prespektive ne arijme te kuptojme se historia e Atlantides nuk ka se si te jete nje histori e trilluar apo e mistifikuar por nje shpalosje e qarte e historise njerzore deri ne stadin aktual te zhvillimit te saj ne kohen kur Platoni jetoi. Ne planin historik kemi tendenca te shoqerise helene per te njohur me tej jo vetem historine e tyre te se kaluares po edhe ate te popujve te tjere qe ne disa raste u bene jo vetem bashkudhetare por edhe determinuese te fatit te ketij civilizimi qe ne e njohim me emrin “helene”.Nese helenet kishin populluar pothuajse gjithe brigjet e mesdheut me kolonite e tyre te shumta per nje cast atyre iu lindi deshira per te njohur ndoshta edhe nga ndjenja e nje faji apo pendese historine e popujve pararendes se tyre.Nevoje kjo qe lind ne rethanat e zhvillimit te nje shoqerie teper te avancuar me karakter human dhe illuminist.Cilet ishin “viktimat” e revanshit te tyre shoqeror dhe nese ato nga predator do te ktheheshin ne viktima?Ne horizont po shfaqej nje fuqi e re dominuese dhe po aq agresive si vete ata nje here e nje kohe.Kjo fuqi e kishte emrin ROME. Per kete arsye grekerve te lashte do te ju duhej te benin nje analize te thedhe historike me qellimin e vetem te percaktimit te fatit te tyre.Cilet ishin greket dhe nga vini ata.Veshtrimi i tyre hidhet jo rastesisht ne Egjipt dhe ne lindje.Platoni rievokon udhetimet edhe studimet e Solonit .Ky i findit rizbulon jo vetem historine e popullit te tij por edhe ate te perendive qe ku popull adhuron dhe predikon.Ngjashmerite me ato Egjiptiane jane shokuese .Perendesha Athine adhurohet si ne Greqine e lashte ashtu edhe ne Egjipt.

Kultura helene si ajo qe ne e njohim sot u shfaq papritur pas nje peridhe 400 vjecare(epoka e Erret) mbas kulturave Kretiane dhe Minioane(keto jane kulturat mesdhetare qe ne mund te studiojme sot per sot) me gjithe vezullimin e saj qe reflektohet edhe sot.Por kush ishin kulturat pararendese te saj.
Ne mesin e dyte te mijevjecarit te dyte p.a.s nje fuqi detare dhe eksploruese shfaqet ne brigjet e lindjes se aferme sot Libani.Behet fjale per Fenikasit.Kjo fuqi detare midis dy qyteterimeve me te fuqishme te asaj kohe Egjiptit dhe Asiro Babilonasve do te behej leva kryesore e eksplorimit,kolonizimit dhe me pas e nenshtrimit te botes se pertejme veriore dhe perendimore.Fenikasit mund ti krahasojme si Hollandezet apo Portugezet e shek.15 te eres sone ndersa Egjiptianet dhe Sirianet mund ti krahasajme me Perandorite Angleze dhe Francese te kesaj periudhe.Nis lufta per eksplorim dhe zbulime te reja .Egjipti dhe Siria ka nevoje per burime te reja energjie dhe c,eshte me kryesorja ka nevoje per kallaj (jemi ne fillimin e epokes se bronzit).Nisen ekspeditat e para si fillim prehe e ketij ekspansioni behet ishulli i Qipros, me pas e ka radhen Kreta .Bien me radhe kulturat mesdhetare (minioane,kretiane dhe ajo qe une mendoj se eshte kultura Atlantidasve).Qytete te tera rafshohen njerez te tere masakrohen dhe prangosen qe me pas te dergohen ne Egjipt apo Siri si skllever.”Eksploruesit” Fenikas jane shume te zellshem ,mjafton qe padronet e tyre te paguajne jo vetem ne para po edhe ne toka.Nisin kolonizimet e para .Qipro,Kreta,Pelaponezi (e gjithe Greqia e sotme).Popullsia Pellazge shfaroset pothuajse krejtesisht ose asimilohet nga ajo Fenikase apo Egjip-Siriane.Lindin fise dhe etni te reja.Perzierje pellazgo-semite qe me pas do te mare trajtat e asaj qe ne njohim si kulture helene.Fenikasit nuk mjaftohen me Ballkanin (theksojme se pjesa e veriperendimore pervec bregdetit mbetet e paprekur)ato i versulen gjithe bregdetit Mesdhe.Tani e kane radhen Sicilia ,Sardenja,Italia jugore Malta ,Spanja e Portugalia.Keto ngjarje kane ndodhur reth 3500-4000 vjete me pare dhe une po perdor emertimet moderne te ketyre vendeve per te qene sa me i qarte.Themelohen qytete si Kaliari,Mesina ,Napoli ,Athina etj.etj.Me mire te them krijohen kolonite fenikase sepse popullsite locale ishin asimiluar apo shfarosur me kohe.Ndoshta ashtu si Anglezet e shek.15 te eres sone kur kolonizuan Ameriken edhe ata mund te kishin nje sllogan te tipit “nje pellazg i mire eshte vetem nje pellazg i vdekur”. Kjo masaker dhe ky shkatrim zgjat per gati 500 vjete .Nje ngjashmeri mahnites me kohen qe ju desh kolonizatoreve evropian per te neshtruar dhe me pas shkateruar civilizimet e Amerikes jugore apo Veriore.Me pas kemi ate cka ne quajme pikun e zhvillimit te sotem njerezore .SHBA. me Athinen e koheve moderne.NEW YORK. Hisorise nuk i mungon sensi i ironise apo jo.Sigurisht qe popullsite e atehershme te Mesdheut nuk ishin uniforme dhe krejtesisht te ngjajshme per kete arsye ne dhe historianet kemi bere marveshjen e perdorimit te emertimit “pellazge” apo “protohelene”. Ne shume raste popullsite autoktone ishin strehuar ne zona “me te sigurta” ,kryesisht ne zona rurale dhe malore.Keto popullsi iu rezistuan asilimit dhe ruajten identitetin e tyre (disa syresh deri ne ditet tona) si psh.pellazgo-iliret, apo proto-iliret(etnosi ilir nuk ishte krijuar ende),etrusket ,basket ,fiset mesapike te jugut te Italise dhe shume fise te tjera ne gadishullin helene apo arkipelagun Egje.Politika e “zgjidhjes Perfundimtare” nuk kishte funksionuar per protohelenet.Ato jo vetem qe nuk ishin shfarosur por kishin fulluar te rimekembeshin dhe te shtoheshin ne numer.Kete here nen flamurin e nje civilizimi te ri.Ai Helen.Ndonese ne venat e tyre vazhdonte te ridhte gjaku semito-egjiptian geni pellazgjik kishte triumfuar.Fale kjo popullesise rurale dhe malesore te teritoreve ne fjale.Ashtu si kanadezet e diteve te sotme ato filluan te kerkonin rrenjet e qena dhe te paqena te preardhjeve te tyre nga vendalinjte.Nje kanadez apo amerikan verior sot do ta kishte per kapital personal te fuqishem faktin e te paturit nje mini-gen Indian ne venat e tij.
Ne kete kohe shek 8-7te p.a.s etnosi dhe kultura helene ishte e formuar.Rievokohen heronjte e antikitetit perendite e lashta.Nderkaq ato (helenet) I kishin shkeputur me kohe varesite ekonomike-politike me shtetet meme Egjipt dhe Asiro Babilonase.Krijohen epose me baze protohelene .
Iliada dhe Odesia e Homerit jane deshmi te qarta te “dehjes” dhe “ngazellimit” te heleneve ndaj te shkuares se lavdishme te parardhesve te tyre.Megjithese kjo e shoqeruar me nota te theksuara megallomanie dhe perbuzje ndaj atyre qe ato I konsideronin si “barbare”.Palet kundershtare te heleneve do te anatemoheshin si barbare,kanibale dhe perbindesha te frikshem me nje sy .Gjuha helene qe ne sot njohim nuk ishte gje tjeter vecse nje slang ose dialect i shtremberuar i gjuhes semito- fenikase e perzier kjo me rudimente te gjuheve tashme te vdekura te Egjeut(pellazgo-protohelene).
Asgje nuk na ben te besojme se gjuha apo alfabeti minioan qe besohet se mund te jete nje forme arkaike e greqishtes ka lidhje apo eshte pararendese e gjuheve helene.
Eshte shqiptarja e bija heroit tone kombetar Ismail Qemali, Nermin Vlora Falaski qe na verteton kete me perkthimin e Shkrimit te Limnosit .Per kete ajo perdor gjuhen me te vjeter ne Evrope .SHQIPEN.
Te mos kekqkuptohemi askush nuk mund ta zbehi madheshtine e kultures antike greko helene.Por ashtu sic thote edhe Nitsche “Cdo shoqeri e zhvilluar i ka patur bazat ne Mizori”.Ndoshta Platoni eshte tani I ndergjegjshem per ate cka kane bere parardhesit e tij dhe me kete histori te Atlantides ai kerkon te vendose drejtesine e munguar ne historine e botes se atehershme.Kete ai nuk e ben vetem por zhfrytezon ndihmen e personaliteteve me te medhenj helene te histories dhe politikes helene.Duke filluar qe nga Soloni(klerik,shtetar,historian dhe letrar i shek.te 6te p.a.s) pastaj Krician(udheheqesi i diktatures Athinase te tridhjeteve dhe xhaxhai i Platonit,persekutori dhe ndeshkuesi i Sokratit).Si ka mundesi qe Platoni te perdore keto superpersonalitete te kultures dhe politikes helene si tregues te nje historie te trilluar prej tij.Ai ishte nxenes i Sokratit dhe e dinte mjaft mire se cfare fati e priste ate ne rast se historia e tij do te trondiste themelet e kultures shekullore helene.
Fakti eshte se ne nuk jemi ne dijeni te ndonje antivepre qe mund ta hidhte poshte historine e Atlantides se Platonit nga asnje bashkekohes apo historian te mevonshem Helen.Kjo tregon dhe deshmon faktin se shoqeria helene e kohes se Platonit jo vetem qe e njihte historine e Atlantides por edhe qe ajo binte dakord me tezat e Platonit se kultura helene i kishte rrenjet diku me thedhe ne historine e popujve pellazge te “pellgut te mesdheut”.

Sipas historianit grek Apiani te shekullit te dyte mbas krishtit ekziston nje legjende per sa I perket historis se qytetit te atehershme Epidamnos.Sipas Apianit qyteti ishte themeluar nga nje sundimtar(mbret) ilir me emrin Epidamnos dhe se me pas ajo mori emrin e nipit te tij nga e bija Dyrrachium.Ky i fundit permendej si pasardhes I Poseidonit dhe se kishte luftuar kunder vellezerve te tij se bashku me Heraklion I cili si shperblim kishte kerkuar nje pjese te tokes se Epidamnos.
Sipas Platonit ne historine e tij te Atlantasit ai refen se Poseidoni ishte lidhur me nje vajze me emrin Kleito(klithe ose klithme ne gjuhen shqipe) e bija e Ivenor dhe Leusipes.(ive=vije ne gjuhen shqipe dhe leusipe=leshprere nje definicion qe perdoret ne malesine e Laberise per vajza trime dhe burneshe qe krahasohen me burrat).Pra
Edhe pse behet fjale per mitologji dhe legjenda kemi lidhje te mahniteshme te historive qe jane krijuar ne vended dhe kohet te ndryshme.
Ne rast se marim refimin e Apianit per Dyrrachium dhe bashkepunimin e tij me Herakliun ateher kemi nje date historike qe na ben te reflektojme.Herakliu nuk ishte vetem nje personazh mitologjik por edhe historic I cili ka jetuar reth shek 12 para krishtit.Nga kjo del se Dyrrachium ka nje datim historic qe I perkon asaj te Herakliut.
Pra Mbreteria e Epidamnos(ilire) dhe me pas ajo e Dyrrachium ka ekzistuar shume kohe perpara te ashtequajtures “themelim” I saj nga kolonet greke te Kerkyres dhe Korinthit.Te pakten 3200 vjete me pare ekzistonte nje mbreteri ilire ne brigjet e adriatikut qe quhej Epidamnos.

Kur trajtojme problemin e identitetit te Epidamnos lindin shume probleme qe e bejne me konfuze historine e ketij qyteti,por ne qofte se I studiojme me kujdes shkrimet dhe referencat historike te historianeve te lashte na del nje panorame pothuajse e panjohur dhe shume intriguese.Psh.Ne rastin e referencave historike te dhena nga Ana Komnena per Epidamnos ajo na e paraqet kete qytet si “germalle” qe ndodhej prane nje vendi te quajtur “petra”.Behet fjale per shkembin e Kavajes.Ana Komnena thote se Robert Giuskardi fushoj prane renojave te Epidamnos prane “shkembit”.Pra behet fjale per renojat e nje qytetit ne breg te gjirit te Durresit.Deri me sot nuk eshte bere asnje studim apo germim net e kete zone.Arkeologet tane jane kenaqur me ato cka I ofron qyteti i groposur nene themelet e qytetit te Durresit dhe pjesa me e rendesishme ajo cka ne na intereson edhe ne pra Gjiri I Durresit as qe eshte mare fare ne konsiderate.Po referencat historike me shokuese vijne nga nje epoke me e hershme.Le te marim nje moment historik qe jam I bindur se shume prej nesh as qe e ka ditur me pare.Ne vendin e quajtur “petra” pra “shkembi I Kavajes” dicka e madherishme dhe lavdishme ka ndodhur 2000 vjete me pare.Me sakte 2041 vjete me pare.behet fjale per betejen e fashme te bere nga Jul Cezari kunder dhendrit te tij Pompeut.Ky I fundit kishte ngritur kampin dhe qendren e komandes se tij pikerisht ne vendin e quajtur nga Taulantet “Petra”.Edhe ketu ky vend na pershkruehet si renojat e qytetit te Epidamnos.

Sic kem thene edhe me pare ne Shqiperi ndodhen shume tumula (vareza antike ) te cilat kane formen e nje Atlantis ne miniature.Shikojini vete.

Aplika eshte zbuluar ne nje vare te Kolonjes dhe i perket shekullit 13te-12te para krishtit. Shikoni edhe kete mask prej ari qe sigurisht i perket nje mbreti apo aristokrati.Ne te dyja anet e saj kemi nga pese rathe te lidhur me njera tjetren dhe ne pjesen e ballit kemi 8te.A thua te jene edhe keto shenja apo emblema te Atlantides.Pra pese nga njera ane dhe pese nga ana tjeter.Por perse tete ne balle?Ku jane dy mbreterite e tjera apo mbreterit e tjere?Mos haroni kjo eshte maska e nje mbreti te vdekur.Pra nje mbret me pak.U bene nente.Po mbreti tjeter?

Gjeri tani jemi perpjekur ti japim nje kuptim teorise se Atlantides ne Shqiperi.Por ne disa momente duhet ndalur per te reflektuar.Kush ishin Atlantidasit dhe ku mund ti gjejme gjurmet e tyre.
Une them se kudo.Mjafton te lexosh librin e zotit Aref "Odissea e pabesueshme e nje populli para-helen" dhe cdo gje te behet mjaft e qarte.Zoti Aref ka nje mendim jo vetem revolucionar por edhe iluminist per sa i perket ceshtjes se preardhjes se shqiptareve.Ne shume pika ne biem dakord.Gjithsesi une mendoj se vepra e tij eshte nje reflektim i studimeve te bera nga profesori i Sorbones z.Domenik Brikel( i cili ka bere edhe parathenien e librit te Aref).Une do te guxoje edhe me teper te them se libri i Aref nuk eshte gje tjeter vecse perkthimi ne shqip i nje studimi te bere nga vete zoti Brikel.Profesori Brikel eshte nje ekspert i ceshtjes etruske dhe mbrojtes i idese se etrusket si edhe pellazget rjedhin nga i njejti trung etnik.Si ide e pergjithshme qendron hipoteza se pellazget kane qene nje etni e shperndare ne gjithe pellgun mesdhetare dhe civilizimi i tyre i ka paraprire asaj helene ne cdo cep dhe hapesire te detit Mesdhe(popujt e detit).Helenet kane ardhur shume vone ne ballkan(shek 7 dhe 8te p.e.s) dhe se origjin e tyre eshte egjiptiano-semite.

Le te flasim per Poseidonin ,perendine e Detit.Sipas Platonit ,Poseidoni u martua me nje vajze me emrin Klito dhe nga ajo pati dhjete femije .Pese cifte binjakesh nje nder to ishte dhe Atlas qe me vone do te behej mbreti I Atlantides.
Por sipas Mithologjise ne kemi per cudi edhe nje personazh tjeter me emrin Atlas dhe ky eshte nje Titan I biri I nje titani tjeter qe quhej Kronus por si pas studiuesve filo helene ky Atlas nuk ka lidhje fare me mbretin e Atlantides.
Sa per kuriozitet duhet te themi se Poseidoni bile edhe Zeusi jane bije Titanesh te cilet ne nje kohe te caktuar iu kundervune baballareve te tyre ne te ashtequajteren lufte e Olimpasve me Titanet .Keto te paret fituan dhe i munden perendite e (e vjetra) duke sjedhe kohene e mbretetimit te perendive te reja.A ju kujton ndonje gje kjo lufte?
Lufte qyteterimesh ,lufte besimesh lufte per dominimin e botes se atehershme.
Lufta midis Titaneve dhe Olimpasve ne paraqitet si nje lufte midis brezash dhe koherash.

Ne mitologjine ilire Poseidoni njihej me emrin Rodon(ose Redon).Ky I fundit ishte martuar me perendine Shkumbe.
Ne veri te gjirit te Durresit siper Bishtit te Palles kemi nje gadishull te quajtur Kepi I Rodonit.Ndersa ne jug kemi derdhjen e lumit te famshem Shkumbin.
A thua keto te jene kufijte jugore dhe veriore te mbreterise se Atlantis me mbretin Atlas.
Ne veri te gjirit te Durresit pikerisht reth zones se Kepit te Rodonit jane zbuluar dy tempuj nje ne Spitalle dhe tjetra ne Bishtin e Palles.Vecantia e ketyre tempujve qendron ne faktin se ne to jane zbuluar artifakse te cilat datojne perpara presences se kultures hellene ne keto zona.Ne fakt arkeologet jane te mendimit se keto zbulime sherbejne per te percaktuar kufijte veriore te botes helene.Personalisht mendoj se me germime te metejshme ato kufije kane per te zbritur shume-shume poshte .Ashtu sic thote edhe vete Platoni ne percaktimin e kufijve te Athines se lashte .Deri ne malet e Kitheronit dhe ate te Parnes.

Permbytje e madhe sipas mitologjise u kryer reth fundit te pokes se bronzit saktesisht gjate epokes se heronjve(sipas Hesodotit).Dikur reth vitit 1100 p.a.s.
Zeusi ne kete kohe ishte shume i zemeruar me “”ARROGANTET”” pellazge DHE per kete arsye ai iu dergoi permbytjene e madhe.Nga kjo permbytje mbijetuan Dekalioni dhe
Phyra te cilete me pas do te popullonin perseri planetin toke(Gaja).Sa per dijeni Dekalioni ishte biri I Titanit Prometheus vellait te Atlasit.
Nuk duhet te perpiqem shume per tu ju vertetuar se toka e Titaneve eshte pikerisht toka e pellazgeve te lashte.

Ne perkthimin qe i eshte bere dialogjeve te Platonit mund te jete bere nje gabim naiv qe mund ti kete kushtuar shume historise se njerezimit.
Eshte fjala per numrin e viteve te permendura nga Platoni i ekzistences se Atlantides.
Sipas perkthimit te bere nga Jowett dhe te tjere fjala antike greke "enakischilia" meret si 9000.
Dakord do te thoni .Fjala "kischilia" shpjegohet lehte me numrin 1000,por fjala "ena" eshte pak si e dyshimte te perkthehet "nente" pasi ne greqishten e lashte numrat nuk shkrueshin me fjale por me simbole.Bie fjala numri (1)nje i konrenspondonte germa "a"(alfa).Quhej sistemi alfabetik i cili zevendesoi sistemin akrofonik mbas shkullit te peste p.a.s.Pra i bie qe numrit (9) nente (per ata qe e dine alfabetin grek) ti konrenspondoj germa "th"(thita).Per numrin 9000 perdorej nje simbol i ngjashem me "th" por me nje presje poshte ne krahe te majte te saj dhe vetem kaq.Nuk perdoreshin aspak fjale.Vetem simbole.
Por edhe sikur te jene perdorur fjale (pasi une po spekulloj se nuk e kam lexuar kurre origjinalin) ne greqishten e lashte nenta shqiperohej "ennea " "eneas" dhe aspak "ena".Fjala "ena" ngjason me numrin "nje" te sotem grek.Ne qofte keshtu Plato ka dashur te thote me fjale numrin e viteve qe shume mire mund te kuptohej me sintaksen e gjuhes shqipe "ena=nje, kischilia=mije".Pra njemije vjete dhe jo nente mije vjete.Fjala apo numri 9000 ne greqishten e vjeter duhej te ishte "ENNEAKISCHILIA"(eneahishilia shqip.) dhe jo "ENAKISCHILIA".Ne rast se do ishte shkruar ne simbol "th"+ presje ajo nuk do ishte perkthyer fjale per fjale por do te ishte shkruajtur numri 9000 nga perkthyesit e famshem te tipit Jowett.

Nga kjo del se Platoni e kishte fjalen per nje mije vjete perpara dates 360 p.a.s(kohes ku ai shkroi Dialogjet e famshme) pra i bie qe Atlantida te jete shkateruar reth vitit 1360 p.a.s.

Tumula te tilla ka plot ne vendin e Shqiponjave dhe ato datojne epoken e bronzit.Ajo cka i dallon keto tumula nga tumulat e tjera ne vende te ndryshme te botes eshte fakti se tumulat jane te rethuara nga mure rethore te jashtme ne forme rethore "te perkryer" do te thosha.

A thua Atlantis te kete qene nje "tumule""gjigante" ndertuar per nder te nje "personazhi" mistik qe mo vone do te quhej "perendi".

Platoni na thote se ne qender te Atlantis ndodhej tempulli i Poseidonit.

Artifakset e gjendura ne keto tumula nuk jane vetem grabitur por edhe shkateruar.Arkeologet qe punojne prane ketyre zonave kerkimore jane deshmitare te gjalle te ketij vandalizmi dhe masakre qe rrenjet i ka ne shofinizmin cinik helen.Them se ato jane shkateruar sepse arkeologet jane duke mledhur coperat e ketyre artifakseve qe jane vandalizuar me qellim.

KU ESHTE VALLE SHTETI SHQIPTAR?PERSE HESHT?

Historiania dhe princesha e njohur Bizantine ANNA KOMNENE na ben te ditur se perandori i Bizantit Anastasius i pare, qe ishte me origjin nga Durresi mbas nje termeti te fuqishem reth shekullit te katert te eres sone rindertoi muret fortifikueste te qytetit te Dyrrachium.Ana Komnena ka jetuar reth shekujve 10-11 te eres sone pra reth 600 vjet pas sundimit te Anastasius se Pare.Ajo ne punen e saj hulumtuese nuk le pa permendur madheshtine e ketyre "mureve".Ato ishin reth 12metra te larta dhe aq te gjera sa ne te mund te kaloronin perbri njeri-tjetrit kater kalores pa asnje problem.Sic e permendem Anastasius vetem sa "rikonstruktoi" keto mure "ciklope",por ne nuk dime asgje se kush i ndertoi ato.A ishin mure apo "ura kalimi" te tipit qe lidhte pjesen e banuar te qytetit verior te Atlantides se lashte me ishullin e famshem te saj ne mes te gjirit te Durresit.Anna Komnene e bija e Perandorit Bizant Alexios na jep kete pershkrim te jashtezakonshem te "mureve" ne fjale pa e ditur se ajo vete mund te ket zbuluar nje nder misteret me te medhaja te koheve moderne.Ajo e ka bere kete reth 900 vjete me pare, ne kushtet(vetekuptohet) te nje mungese totale te mjeteve moderne te sotme per te percaktuar vjetersine reale te atyre "mureve ciklope".Thame se "muret" ishin te gjera sa kater kuaj mund te kalonin perbri njeri_ tjetrit,pra dicka e perafert me nje rruge me dy korsi te diteve tona. Keto "mure" (qe per mua jane urat dhe pistat lidhese te Atlantides) mund te dallohen mjaft mire ne pjesen veriperendimore te gjirit te Durresit ne fotografite satelitare te cilat mund ti gjeni ne kete faqe te webpage-it tim.Ato shtrihen nen det qe nga Currilat dhe vazhdojne deri ne qender te gjirit te Durresit.Keto jane fakte vizuale dhe te prekeshme te padiskutueshme te madheshtise mijera vjecare te qytetit te Durresit.Madheshti qe smund ti kete rrenjet pervecse ne nje civilizim po aq madheshtor te lashte sa te kete influencuar edhe civilizimet e tjera te nderuar ne themelet e saj.
Nje fakt tjeter qe ka te beje ma natyren gjeodezike te gjirit te Durresit.Si per cudi pikerisht ne kohen ne te cilen Anna Komnene jetoi dhe sundoi se bashku me te jatin, ne Durres ra nje termet aq i fuqishem sa pothuajse e gjitha popullsia e saj (e Durresit) u zhvendos ne Berat pasi qyteti i lashte u shkaterua totalisht nga termeti dhe permbytjet e cunamit te furishem qe e shoqeroi ate.A ju kujton ndonje everiment historik tjeter ky fakt?

P.S.Siper keni imaget e "mureve ciklope" qe une mendoj se jane pista dhe ura lidhese te qytetit te lashte te Atlantides.A e dini sa eshte gjeresia e tyre ne metra?

Tezat per ekzistencen e nje civilizimi protohelen po shtohen nga viti ne vit.Por perse pikerisht tani?C,fare ka ndryshuar?
Ne qofte se te huajt cuditen dhe mahniten nga madheshtia e ketij civilizimi per ne nuk eshte vecse konfirmim i nje endre qe e kemi jetuar me shekuj te tere.Ne jemi pasardhes te civilizimit me te vjeter ne Evrope.
Gjate 500 vjeteve roberie osmane kultura jone u masakrua dhe u varros per se gjalli me keq se kushdo kulture tjeter ne bote.Me pas kemi periudhen e luftarve boterore po kaq shkaterimtare dhe shokuese per ne si komb sa koncepti i identitetit kombetar u reduktua ne nje ndjese jo krenarie por ne nje nevoje mbijetese qe i linte shume pak hapesire fantazise dhe mendimit shkencor dhe historik.Periudha e komunizmit vetem sa hapi oreksin e shkencetareve dhe historianeve tane pasi mundesite teknike dhe akademike per nje studim te plote te kesaj kulture ishin dhe fatkeqesisht mbetin modeste.
Nuk duhet te anashkalojme edhe faktoret gjeo-politike dhe ekonomike.Per rastin tone konkret teza e qyteterimit te Atlantides ka qene per shume kohe nje teze tabu per qarqe shkencore ne mbare Evropen.Frika se mos nen te fshiheshin parime te elaboruara te se ashtequajtures "raca superiore" te Hitlerit i kane stepur me kohe historianet dhe shkencetaret.
Nazistet i kishin mbeshtetur idete e tyre raciste pikerisht ne ekzistencen e kesaj kulture protohelene.Atlantida per ta ishte si Jeruzalemi per cifutet.Himleri do te niste ekspedita kerkimore deri ne rafshnalten e Tibetit per gjetur sipas tij dhe "nazisteve" renjet e gjenezes se "races se zoterinjeve".qe do te sundonin boten perseri per te pakten edhe nje mije vjete te tjera.
Cmenduria naziste do te arinte deri aty sa te pervetesonte dhe te perdhoste simbolet e ketij qytetrimi qe me pas do te beheshin simbolet e se keqes ne mbare boten.Ky ishte rasti i "svastikes" nje simbol protohelen dhe pellazge qe skishte te bente fare me shtazerine naziste.Ne qofte se sot i tregon nje njeriu te rendomte simbolin e "svastikes" ai ne menyre mekanike do ta lidhi ate me nazismin dhe "kodrat me kufoma" te kampeve famekeqe te saj dhe jo simbolin e nje kulture qe ka paraprire ate helene.Perfituesit e ketij ambiguiteti dihen tashme jane fqinjet tane te "dashur" greke qe nuk lene gur dhe falsifitet pa perdorur per te zbehur shkelqimin e historise sone mijeravjecare.
Persa i perket grekerve.Duhet te jemi verte naive te mendojme qofte edhe per nje sekonde se ato do te na ndihmojne per zbulimin me te madh te mijevjecarit tone.Mos te harojme se Greqia e mbeshtet ekonomine turistike pikerishte ne shfrytezimin pa kriter te historise dhe trashegimise se antikitetit te saj qe sot prevalon mbi cdo kulture tjeter .Ne rast se Shqiperia do te kthehej ne nje meke turistike arkeologjike per turistat e huaj, humbjet ekonomike te Greqise do te ishin te pallogaritshme.Do te kishim edhe premisa per nje lufte "te ndyre" turistike qe per mendimin tim do te hapte "kutine e Pandores" per akte terroriste te tipit Bodrum (ne Turqi) apo ndotje te bregdetit (tipit Liban ose Lagune e Shengjinit). Me qe ra fjala, cfare u be me Lagunen e ShenGjinit.?A u be nje investigim i plote per te zbuluar rethanat e incidentit dhe cfare mase u moren ndaj pronareve te depozitave te naftes?A rezikon te njejtin fat edhe qyteti i Bukur i Vlores?
Por perpos ketyre.Greqia eshte mese e natyrshme qe do te mbroje interesat e saja ekonomike dhe historike.Ne duhet te mbrojme interesat tona.
Nje arme e forte ne kete lufte te drejte te kultures sone eshte edhe botimi i fundit i nje libri te mrekullueshem te studiuesit me origjine shqiptare Matheu Aref(Mati).
Libri titullohet "Odiseja e Pabesueshme e nje Populli ParaHelen".Eshte nje thesar i cmuar qe nuk duhet ti mungoje bibliotekes suaj.Teoria e Matheu Aref shkon deri diku paralel me tezen e perfolur se Pellazget jane Baballaret e civilizimit Evropian.Me pas ajo kalon ne te vetmin zgjidhje qe mund ti japesh historise parahelene te Ballkanit.
Nuk ka mundesi qe nje qytetrim aq i zhvilluar si ajo e heleneve te ket lindur nga "asgjeja".
A thua qe ky liber te jap zgjidhje edhe per tezen time te Atlantides Shqiptare?
Une ,mendoj se po.
Cdo sekond qe kalon me forcon kete ide.Cdo gje ne Evrope filloi nga NE.

Le te flasim pak per qytetin e Durresit ,territorin dhe karakteristikat gjeofizike te saj.Dime se qyteti I lashte I Durresit shtrihet ne pjesen verilindore dhe veriperendimore te lagunes apo gjirit te saj (Durresit).Duke filluar nga pjesa e Pallatit te kultures dhe vazhduar ne verilindje te saj pjesa e qytetit te lashte ndodhet nen nivelin e detit.Shume here kjo pjese e qytetit ka qene e permbytur dhe shkateruar nga forca e dallgeve te detit te cilat depertonin thedhe neper qytetin antic.Prezenca e kenetes se Durresit e verteton kete fakt ne menyre te padiskutueshme.Shume here qyteti I Durresit eshte permbytur dhe deshmite eketyre shkaterimeve jane prezente edhe ne ditet tona.Pjesa me madhe e qytetit te lashte te Epidamnos ndodhet nen thedhesirat e detit Adriatic.Ndoshta me mire mund te themi ajo cka ne mendojme se eshte pjese e Epidamnos.Ne te vertet une mendoj se nen thedhesirat e detit Adriatik ndodhen renojat e nje qyteterimi me te lashte se ai I Epidamnos.Kjo ipoteze forcohet edhe nga fakti se pergjate bregut te detit ne Porta Romano arkeologet shqiptare kohet e fundit kane zbuluar artifakse per te cilat ato mendojne se I perkasin nje periudhe shume me te heret se ajo e Epidamnosit.Ate jene keto artifakse deshmi te qyteterimit te Atlantides?
Sipas gojedhenave qyteti I Durresit eshte permbytur dhe rindertuar te pakten tre here.Pra kemi tre civilizime te zhdukura nen te.Kur flasim per permbytje dhe shkaterime nuk pretendojme per permbytje sporadike qe e kane shoqeruar historine e Durresit gjate gjithe ekzistences se saj.Behet fjale per permbytje dhe shkaterime te prporcioneve biblike.Fjala vjen termete te fuqishme te shoqeruara me furine e cunameve aq te fuqishme qe te jene ne gjendje te zhdukin brenda nje nate nje qytet portual me permasa 49km2.Ky event ka shume gjasa te kete ndodhur reth 3800 vjete me pare.Ne fakte gjiri I Durresit dhe zona pereth saj eshte nje nder zonat me sizmike te detit Adriatik.Ne det dhe ne toke gati cdo dhjetevjecar regjistrohen termete te magnitutave 4-5 balle te shkalles Righter.A te jene valle keto termete , johone e termetit te tmershem qe shkateroi brenda nje nate qytetin portual te Atlantides(apo Taulantias).?Shume here ndodh qe Deti ne gjirin e Durresit te “fryhet” dhe ti afrohet kercenueshem qytetit ne fjale si per ti kujtuar kete event shkaterimatar te kaherave te kaluara.Perpara 6 muajve nje ngjarje e tille u perserit ne menyre te frikeshme nen prezencen e pushuesve dhe turistave qe ndodheshin per te pushuar ne plazhin e Durresit.Manaxheret e “plazheve e private” u detyruan te shkurtonin gati tre reshta shezdhonesh ,pasi deti ishte afruar shume afer qendrave te banimit. Ketu skemi te bejme fare me efektin batice dhe zbatice por ka shume mundesi qe efekti I “fryerjes” se detit te shkatohet nga minitermete qe ndodhin shpesh nen thedhesirat e detit Adriatik te cilat shoqerohen me “minicuname” te atij lloji qe ne perjetuam ne muajin korrik te 2006.
Nje fakt tjeter ineresant eshte hipoteza e studuesve dhe arkiologeve shqiptare per ta konsideruar qytetin e Dyrachium si vazhdimesi te qytetit te Epidamnos.
Pra ta konsiderojne ate si nje civilizim te pandare dhe ne vazhdimesi.Ne rast se kjo hipoteze vertetohet atehere cila eshte qyterimi I trete I cili mungon per te plotesuar mozaikun e tre civilizimeve te perfolura.?Kemi thene se gojedhenat na flasin per tre qytete dhe civilizime te permbytura dhe te rindertuara serish nga e para., apo jo?............................................

Pra kemi thene se emri Atlantis ka nje ngjashmeri te mahniteshme me Taulantis dhe Taulant.
Kemi thene gjithashtu se fjala Atlant ka nje nje structure pothuajse te njejte me fjalen At-dhe.Por mos u gaboni dhe I jepni nota nacionaliste ketij emertimi.Iliret nuk kan patur aspak per qellim te shpalosin ndjenjat e tyre ultranacionaliste ose patriotike.Emertimi Atlant eshte thjesht nje referim apo toponim me karakter teresisht marine.Iliret (pra Taulantet) ishin nje popull detaresh dhe emrin “Atlant” ata e perdornin me teper si pike referimi detaresh.Ne anglisht ky dhoj emertimi shpjegohet me qarte me fjalen MainLand.Pra “bregdeti”(Toka kryesore) ose ne italisht perdoret fjala “terra ferma”.
Ne fakt ka shume mundesi qe Taulantet (ose Atlanted) te jene pikerisht ai komb qe njihet me emrin “popujt e detit”.Keto u shfaqen reth viteve 1300-1200p.e.s. ne mesdhe dhe shenuan njekohesisht renien e shume civilizimeve greke ne arqipelagun e Egjeut dhe terrorizoi per dhjetevecare te tere popujt e mesdheut perfshire ketu edhe civilizimin Egjiptian nga e cila lindi edhe legjenda e Atlantides.
“Popujt e detit” pushtuan ne kete kohe nje pjese shume te madhe te pellgut te Mesdheut.Platoni nga njera ane thote se Atlantida (ose zona qe ajo zoteronte ) shtrihej qe nga Libia deri ne Azine e vogel.Pra me fjale te tjera “teritori” I perandorise se Atlantides dhe jo sic spekullohet nga shume te tjera permasat e “kontinentit” te zhdukur.Qyteti I Atlantides ishte nje qytet portual dhe ne forme rethore nga kanalet e shumta ujore.Kjo karakteristike I jipte pamjen e nje ishulli artificial .Ne rast se qyteti ndodhej ne ishull ateher lind pyetja perse duhej te ndertoheshin kanalet per lundrimin e anijeve?Cfaredo informacioni I mundshem reth Atlantides na ben te mendojme se kemi te bejme me nje qytet-ishull dhe jo nje qytet te ndertuar ne nje ishull te “stermadh”. Dicka e ngjashme me Lagunen e Venecias.Ne fakt Iliret ishin shume te prirur ndaj ndertimeve prane ujerave apo edhe ne to ,sic eshte rasti I banimeve te hershme pellazgo-ilire ne zonen e ish-kenetes se Maliqit.Bile ne mund te guzojme edhe per me teper ne hipotezen tone pasi vet qyteti I famshem I Venecias ka preardhje ilire dhe vet Venecianet flasin nje dialekt(dialetto Veneto) qe eshte derivate e gjuhes Mesapike.Boterisht e njohur si gjuha “zyrtare” e Ilireve. Mos u cuditni prezenca e fiseve ilire ne gadishullin Apenin eshte e vertetuar shkencerisht.Gjithashtu edhe vazhdimesia gjenetike-kulturore midis fiseve etruske dhe ato ilire eshte nje e vertete historike shkencore e pamohueshme.

ATLANTIDA NE SHQIPERI

Duke pare deshiren e mjaft bashatdhetareve te per ta trajtuar kete teme ne gjuhen shqipe .Vendosa qe kete te fundit ta bej realitet.
Behet fjale te dashurit e mi per nje fakt historiko-politik i cili ne rastin e pare te vertetesise se saj ka per te te ndryshuar pergjithmone jo vetem historine e Evropes dhe te Botes por edhe pozicionin e shqipetareve ne kete planet qe sa vjen edhe zvogelohet.

Atlantida ose sic njihet tashme me emrin Atlantis.
Ky qytet legjendar dhe mistik I permendur nga Platoni ne Dialogjet e tij ka shume mundesi te ndodhet ne brigjet e Shqiperise dhe pikerisht nen kembet e qytetit te lashte te Durresit.
Le te fillojme nga emri i ketij qyteti.ATLAND.
Perbehet nga togefjaleshi At dhe Land.Te dy keto fjale jane me preardhje ilire.Pjesa e pare At eshte e trasheguar edhe sot e kesaj dite ne gjihen tone te bukur shqipe si sinonim I emrit Baba.
P.sh.Im Ate, Yt ate .Pjesa tjeter e emrit Land rjedh nga fjala ilire LANDTOKDE.Kjo e fundit duke u bashkuar me pjesen At mer trajten Atlandtokde .Shume e ngjashme dhe pothuajse e njejte me emertimin e Romak (latin) te Atlantes.ATLANTIDE.
Sigurisht nga kjo del edhe fakti se fjala Land (Toke ne anglisht ) ka preardhje ilire.Ajo perdoret edhe sot e kesaj dite ne dialektin e trevave te Durresit si Landa=materje.Ose ne gjuhen gege Land=Dru.Sigurisht me dialekte perkatese.Psh ne jug ajo mer trajten lende ne veri sic e thame me larte Lande.
Mos ti hyjme pastaj temes se ngjashmerise se mahniteshme te emrit Atland me fjalen Atdhe(ne shqipen moderne).
Miqte e mi ndoshta disa prej jush mund te mos I kete shpetuar fakti I ngjashmerise se emrit te Taulanteve me ate te Atlanteve(ose atlantasve).Eshte per mendimin tim I njejti emer.Ajo qe eshte me intriguesja eshte fakti se Taulantet shtriheshin ne nje teritor te njohur me emrin TAULANTIA qe nga Veriu I lumit Vjosa deri ne Epidamnos(Durres).Taulantet dhe Parthinjte jane dy grupet me te rendesishme ilire qe jane themeluese te trashegimise shqiptaro –ilire.

Taulantet shfaqen ne histori fill pas renjes se kolonive greke ne vend(sipas historianeve filogreke).Mbreti ilir Glaukos ne shekullin 3te p.a.s.Mbasi perzuri kolonet greke dhe mundi mbretin Enkel ,”RITHEMELOI” Dinastine e Taulanteve.Pra e rithemeloi dhe jo e krijoi ate.
Dinastia e Taulanteve(Atlanteve) kishte ekzistuar edhe perpara kolonizimit Helen.Flasim per shekujt 7-8 te p.a.s..Kohen kur kolonet greke nga Korinthi pushtuan qytetin e Epidamnos(Durresi).Qe ka shume mundesi ta kete patur emrin e Lashte Atlantis.(TAULANTIS ose TAULANTIA).
Ne fakt greket I vune qytetit te kolonizuar emrin Epidamnos.Ndoshta nje menyre per te kujtuar ngjarjen e hyre tashme ne mitologjine e lashte ate te permbytjes dhe shkaterimit te Atlantis.
Epi=Poeme,kenge,vjershe dhe Damnos=Mallkim,shkaterim etj.Ne anglishte kemi versionin DAMN(I mallkuar,dreq etj).Latinisht ka te njejtin kuptim DANATO.
Por miqte e mij a ju ka shkuar ndonjehere ne mendje se fjala Dam ka origjine iliro-shqiptare.Dam ose Demtim eshte nje fjale qe perdoret gjeresisht ne gjuhen tone.Bile ne dialektin geg dhe te treves se Durresit ajo shqiptohet DAM.Psh “Mos bani Dam”.(gjuhe letrare-“mos beni dem”)(ne djalektin Durrsak dhe Elbasanlli).
Qyteti republic I Epidamnos I krijuar nga kolonet grek kishte nje structure politike per mos e thene e perkryer nje model I vertete per kolonite e tjera te Mesdheut.Nje shoqeri e zhvilluar dhe e ndertuar ne ate te menyre qe te linte pershtypjen e nje kopjimi deri ne fanatizem te structures dhe utopise mistike shume te perfolur te Atlantides.Psh, pasaniket dhe njerezit qe mereshin me tregeti e kishin te ndaluar te mernin pjese ne politike.Ato duhet te hiqnin dore nga e gjithe pasuria e tyre ne rast se do te angazhoeshin ne politike.Por ne Epidamnos ekzistonte edhe nje ligj I cuditshem I cili I ndalonte tregtaret grek te benin biznes me vendalinjte(pra me Iliret).Perse valle?!.
Le ta leme per nje cast Epidamnos dhe ti rikthehemi “legjendes” se Atlantides.

Platoni e permend Atlantiden si nje ishull qe ndodhej pertej Shtyllave te Herakliut.Sot e dime se ngushtica e Gjibraltarit eshte ngushtica qe identifikohet me kete emer.Sipas kesaj llogjike I bie qe Atlantida te lokalizohet ne oqeanin Atlantik ose me tutje.Shume syresh e kane lokalizuar ishullin e perpire nga deti nga Bahamas deri ne detin e Verdhe ne Kine.E pse jo mjafton te qe del nga kjo ngushtice dhe ishulli “magjik” mund te ndodhet edhe ne Polin e Veriut apo te Jugut.
Por keta te mjere harojne nje fakt teper te rendesishem.Ngushtica e njohur me emrin Shtyllat e Herakliut deri ne vitin 260 p.a.s lokalizohej ne jug te Italise dhe pikerisht ne Sicili.Behet fjale per ngushticen e Mesines.Platoni I shkroi vargjet e tij ne vitin 360 p.a.s.Pra nje shekull me pare se Ngushtica ne fjale te zhvendosej ne kete lokalitet.Por ne kohen e ekzistences se Atlantides ku te kene qene me pare shtyllat e famshme.Ndoshta ne ngushticen e Otrantos?
Eshte fakt qe shume ngushtica ne Mesdhe jane identifikuar me Shtyllat e Herakliut dhe kjo ndodhte sa here qe kufijte e qytetrimit Helen pesonin ekspansion ne pellgun e Mesdheut.Ka shume mundesi qe ngushtica e Otrantos dikur te kete patur kete emertim
“Shtyllat e Herakliut”.Fund te fundit este nje ngushtise teper e njohur qe lidh dy detera ,ate Adriatik dhe ate Jon.Platoni thoshte se Atlantida ndodhej ne perendim te qyteterimit Helen dhe se ato kishin maredhenie tragtare dhe anijet helene lundronin shpesh ne ujrat e Atlantides.Pra ideja te krijohet se kemi te bejme me nje civilizim “komshi” te qyteterimit Helen.Perpara 11000 vjeteve sic pretendon edhe Platoni civilizimi grek ende ishte ne fillesat e saj e jo me te mendohej te dilte jashte mesdheut ne eksplorim te civilizimeve te tjera.Nga kjo del se edhe data e everimentit qe shoqeroi renien e civilizimit te Atlantides eshte shume e diskutueshme.Platoni e kufizon ekzistencen e Atlantides ne kuadrin e mijevjecare te kaluara nga koha e tij, reth 9000 vjet.Hm…..? Nese vereni pamjet satelitore te plazhit te Durresit do te dalloni se ajo ka formen e nje gjysem rethi “te perkryer”.Ne breg te plazhit mund te dalloni ato cka une I quaj “kanalet” apo murret rethore te qytetit te lashte te permbytur.Nje pjese e saj shkon deri ne thedhesi te gjirit te Durresit duke u nisur nga porti dhe zbret poshte drejt jugut.Pamjet e qytetit te permbytur duken mjaft qarte edhe me sy te lire.Deri me sot kemi menduar se ato jane pjese te shtepive te permbytura te qytetit te Epidamnos , por nese vini re ato jane mjaft solide dhe uniforme sikur te ishin pjeseza te nje urre apo rruge qe pershkron gjirin e Durresit nga veriu deri ne jug te saj(drejt qendres se gjirit).Kjo ure qe fillon nga Curilat ka nje gjeresi reth 250-280 m.Kush ka bere plash ne Curila e di mire se per te aritur thedhesine per te bere note i duhet te beje nje cope rruge te gjate neper gure dhe fragmente te kesaj rruge apo ure te stermadhe. Plato is telling to us by his dialogues that Atlantis was located " there when the sun disappear".So it means that Atlantis was located at the very point
when sun "goes down".Now we have to understand that Plato had as point of reference the "hellenic world" which mean Athens and area around it.In Greece everyone knows that the sun goes down (specially in summer) at northwest.

Now as we know Atlantis after the story of Plato was located "outside the Pilars of Herculis" which in nowdays is located in the strait of Gibraltar.So that means that Atlantis location is somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.I don't know, But not to many people know the fact that till the year 260 B.C the ancient greeks used to locate the Pillars Of Herculis a little bit closer than what we do know in present times.Well just a "tad".Pilars of Herculis were located in Sicily.Thats right.The strait of Messina used to be called Pilars of Herculis in ancient times.Well the famous Pilars of Herculis were located in various places during many centeries.All because the expansion of the greeks in Mediterranian.So many places were called with the same names like the English in North America when thay started building their cities and giving the names of the Old continent metropols.(London,Paris,York etc).This means that the Plars were and remain inside the Mediterrenian Sea.Could the Strait of Otranto been called in ancient times Pilars of Herculis to.Well it is a very famous strait that joins to different seas Adriatic and Ion.In fact there are not so many strait that joins the seas with each other in Mediterranian.The ancient greeks till 260 B.C used to locate the Pilars in South of Italy.The strait of Otranto is right there at the tip of the heel of the famous "Italian Boot" between Italy and Albania.

As you can see by yourself the main street (bridge) on the upper part of city that goes across the circle bay is pretty wide apex. 270 m and it shows a perfect match with the ancient informations regarding the functions of the city.You can see also the outer parts of the city (the walls) actually double walls separated by canals as wide as 90 meters.

The earliest settlers of Albania
The question of the origin of the Albanians is still a matter of controversy among the ethnologists. A great many theories have been propounded in solution of the problem relative to the place from which the original settlers of Albania proceeded to their present home. The existence of another Albania in the Caucasus, the mystery in which the derivation of the name "Albania" is enshrouded, and which name, on the other hand, is unknown to her people, and the fact that history and legend afford no record of the arrival of the Albanians in the Balkan Peninsula, have rendered the question of their origin a particularly difficult one.
But, however that may be, it is generally recognized today that the Albanians are the most ancient race in southesatern Europe. All indications point to the fact that they are descendants of the earliest Aryan immigrants who were represented in historical times by the kindred Illyrians, Macedonians and Epirots. According to the opinion of most ethnologists and linguists, the Illyrians formed the core of pre-Hellenic, Tyrrhenopelasgian population, which inhabited the southern portion of the Peninsula and extended its limits to Thrace and Italy. The Illyrians were also Pelasgians, but in a wider sense. Moreover it is believed that of these cognate races, which are described by the ancient Greek writers as "barbarous" and "non-Hellenic," the Illyrians were the progenitors of the Ghegs, or Northern Albanians, and the Epirots the progenitors of the Tosks, or Southern Albanians. This general opinion is borne out the statement of Strabo that the Via Egnatia or ®gitana, which he describes as forming the boundary between the Illyrians and the Epirots, practically corresponds with the course of river Shkumbini, which now seperates the Ghegs from the Tosks. The same geographer states that Epirots were also called Pelasgians. The Pelasgian Zeus, whose memory survives even today in the appellation of God as "Zot" by the modern Albanians, was worshiped at Dodona, where the most famous oracle of ancient times was situated. According to Herodotus the neighborhood of the sanctuary was called Pelasgia.
These findings of the ethnologists are, moreover, strenghthened by the unbroken traditions of the natives, who regard themselves, and with pride as the descendants of the aboriginal settlers of the Balkan Peninsula. They, therefore, they think have the best claims on it. It is also on the strength of these traditions that the Albanian looks upon the other Balkan nationalities as mere intruders who have expropriated him of much that was properly his own. Hence the constsant border warfare which has gone on for centuries between the Albanian and his neighbors.
The Albanian Language
A more concrete evidence of the Illyrian-Pelasgian origin of the Albanians is supplied by the study of the Albanian language. Notwithstanding certain points of resemblance in structure and phonetics, the Albanian language is entirely distinct from the tongues spoken by the neighboring natonalities. This language is particularly interesting as the only surviving representative of the so-called Thraco-Illyrian group of languages, which formed the primitive speech of the inhabitants of the Balkan Peninsula. Its analysis presents, however, great difficulties, as, owing to the absence of early literary monuments, no certainty can be arrived at with regard to its earlier forms and later developments. In the course of time the Albanian language has been impregnated by a large number of foreign words, mainly of ancient Greek or Latin, which are younger than the Albanian Language, but there are certain indications that the primitive Illyrian language exerted a certain degree of influence on the grammatical development of the languages now spoken in the Balkan Peninsula.
There is, however, a very striking feature in this whole matter: that the Albanian language affords the only available means for a rational explanation of the meaning of the names of the ancient Greek gods as well as the rest of the mythological creations, so as exactly to correspond with the characteristics attributed to these deitis by the men of those times. The explanations are so convincing as to confirm the opinion that the ancient Greek mythology had been borrowed, in its entirety, from the Illyrian-Pelasgians. As it was mentioned before, Zeus survives as "Zot" in the Albanian language. The invocation of his name is the common form of oath among the modern Albanians. Athena ( the Latin Minerva), the goddess of wisdom as expressed in speech, would evidently owe its derivation to the Albanian "E Thena," which simply means "speech." Thetis, the goddess of waters and seas, would seem to be but Albanian "Det" which means "sea." It would be interesting to note that the word "Ulysses,"whether in its Latin or Greek form "Odysseus," means "traveler" in the Albanian language, according as the word "udhe," which stands for "route" and "travel," is written with "d" or "l," both forms being in use in Albania. Such examples may be supplied ad libitum. No such facility is, however, afforded by the ancient Greek language, unless the explanation be a forced one and distorted one; but in many instances even such forced and distorted one is not available at all.
In addition, we should not forget the fact that Zeus was a Pelasgian god, par excellence , his original place of worship being Dodona. It is estimated that of the actual stock of the Albanian language, more than one third is of undisputed Ilyrian origin, and the rest are Illyrian-Pelasgian, ancient Greek and Latin, with a small admixture of Slavic, Italian (dating from the Venetian occupation of the seaboard), Turkish and some Celtic words, too.
Illyrians
The origins of the Albanian people, as was mentioned before, are not definitely known, but data drawn from history and from linguistic, archaeological, and anthropological studies have led to the conclusion that Albanians are the direct descendants of the ancient Illyrians and that the latter were natives of the lands they inhabited. Similarly, the Albanian language derives from the language of the Illyrians, the transition from Illyrian to Albanian apparently occurring between the 4th and 6th centuries AD.
Illyrian culture is believed to have evolved from the Stone Age and to have manifested itself in the territory of Albania towardthe beginning of the Bronze Age, about 2000 BC. The Illyrians were not a uniform body of people but a conglomeration of many tribes that inhabited the western part of the Balkans, from what is now Slovenia in the northwest to and including the region of Epirus, which extends about halfway down the mainland of modern Greece. In general, Illyrians in the highlands of Albania were more isolated than those in the lowlands, and their culture evolved more slowly--a distinction that persisted throughout Albania's history.
In its beginning, the kingdom of Illyria comprised the actual territories of Dalmatia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, with a large part of modern Serbia. Shkodra (Scutari) was its capital, just as it is now, the most important center of Northern Albania.
The earliest known king of Illyria was Hyllus (The Star) who is recorded to have died in the year 1225 B.C. The Kingdom, however, reached its zenith in the fourth century B.C. when Bardhylus (White Star), one of the most prominent of the Illyrian kings, united under scepter the kingdoms of Illyria, Molossia (Epirus*) and a good part of Macedonia. But its decay began under the same ruler as a result of the attacks made on it by Philip of Macedon, father of Alexander the Great.
In the year 232 B.C. the Illyrian throne was occupied by Teuta, the celebrated Queen whom historians have called Catherine the Great of Illyria. The depredations of her thriving navy on the rising commercial development of the Republic forced the Roman Senate to declare war against the Queen. A huge army and navy under the command of of Santumalus and Alvinus attacked Central Albania, and, after two years of protracted warfare, Teuta was induced for peace (227 B.C.)
The last king of Illyria was Gentius, of pathetic memory. In 165 B.C. he was defeated by the Romans and brought to Rome as a captive.
Henceforth, Illyria consisting of the Enkalayes, the Taulantes, the Epirotes, and the Ardianes, became a Roman dependency. She was carved out into three independent republics the capitals of which were respectively Scodar (Shkoder), Epidamnus (Durres) and Dulcigno (todays' Ulqin in Montenegro).
Authors of antiquity relate that the Illyrians were a sociable and hospitable people, renowned for their daring and bravery at war. Illyrian women were fairly equal in status to the men, even to the point of becoming heads of tribal federations. In matters of religion, Illyrians were pagans who believed in an afterlife and buried their dead along with arms and various articles intended for personal use. The land of Illyria was rich in minerals--iron, copper, gold, silver--and Illyrians became skillful in the mining and processing of metals. They were highly skilled boat builders and sailors as well; indeed, their light, swift galleys known as liburnae were of such superior design that the Romans incorporated them into their own fleet as a type of warship called the Liburnian.

The Taulanti (Albanian Taulantët) were one of the largest Illyrian tribes. A myth recounted by Arian tells that their name is derived from an eponyomus ancestor, Taulas (genetive Taulanti).
They lived on the Adriatic coast of Illyria(modern Albania), between the river Vjosa on the south and the city of Epidamnos (modern Durres) on the north. This tribe played an important role in Illyrian history of the 4th-3rd centuries BC, when they ruled Illyrian kingdom, firstly established by Enchelleae. Approximately on the same land as Taulanti lived the Albanoi and Parthines tribes.
In 335 BC, King Glaukias established the Taulanti dynasty in the Illyrian Kingdom. In 323 BC, Glaukias freed all the land which had been taken from Enchelleae by the Macedonians. Later, Illyrians capture Epidamnos and Apollonia, two major Illyrian cities, founded by the Greeks in the 7th century BC. In 309 BC, Glaukias went to Epirus where Pyrrhus regained the throne. Bardylis Junior (Bardhyli i Ri), Glaukias' successor, had friendly relationship with Epirus, but it didn’t last long because Pyrrhus conquered all the land in the south of Shkumbin river. This policy was followed strictly by Monounios (280 BC), who became head of Epidamnus and made silver coins with his name. He achieved to consolidate the Illyrian Kingdom. The major cities of the Kingdom were Epidamnios, Apollonia, Damastion, Bylis, Albanopolis, Dimallium, Skodra (Shkoder), Lissos (Lezhe), Meteoni, Ulcinium (Ulqin), Rizon.

This, the city, or the so called lost continent, or the land of Aryans and whatever you want to call it, in todays worldmostly a myth and a legend but perhaps it may be true.Are these the people that died in the great flooding in Noahs time?Anyway. im going to tell it all to you, tell you what people think and what do they say and those perhaps have any evidence .Is there any language in the world that can translate ATLANT?English have close afirmative verbs and preffixs begginings witht he Albanian language only that english was spoken 6.000 years after Albanian evolved.AT in means FATHER in Albanian FATHER, and so does in German. PADRE in Italian. By pronouncingAD and then AT you will hear the same tone and rythem and mistakenly spell it ED if you don't know.LAND in english means simply land if you pronounce LANT it might sound more with the letter D at the end of the word.In ilirian the word LANTOKDE means LAND in english or ground.In ALbanian today it is TOK which also means TOGether in english.Check all the similarities. Of course english came from Germanic indo european indom like some historians say but Ilirian(Albanian)is way older than Germanic or even Greek.Modern greeks do not understand ancient greeks. History of Durres
In 627 - 626 B.C. Greeks from Corfu and Cornith invaded the area and called the town Epidamnos. In the 4th century B.C. Epidamnos had become an independent city - state, producing metalwork, pottery, fabrics, leather and ships and its coins were circulating throughout the ancient world. The Illyrians after establishing their own state, tried to place Durres under their own dependence. In this struggle, victory favoured the state of the Taulantes(Atlantis). The Illyrian King Monunes, minted coins in Durres, with his own name in them and made Durres, the centre of his own state. In 229 B.C. Durres was taken by Rome and under roman rule, the town was called Dyrrachium, which became the starting point of the Via Egnatia, linking roam with the East. The famous Roman orator, Cicero called Durres an admirable city ..., while the poet Catullus called it the tavern of the Adriatic.
After the partition of the Roman Empire, Durres remained part of the Eastern Empire, Byzantium.
During the 10th & 14th centuries, the town was captured by Bulgarians, Normans, Crusaders, Venetians, Angevins and Serbs. In 1501 it was invaded by the Turks. In 1914 - 1920 Durres became the capital of Albania. In 1915 it became the seat of Prince Velhelm Xuvid. In 1916 was temporarily occupied by Serbian forces.
On the 7th of April l939, Durres was occupied by Italians. and then the Germans, during World War Two.
